    No new race at all, or only Viera..and maybe they somehow mess them up by making them too different from the ones that people want.

    More content like Eureka with no feedback taken from their costumer.

    No new healer or tank job.

    Also SE introducing more cash crabs and me getting the feeling like the fanfests are more there to advertise items instead of showing content.

    If they can't "innovate" the right way, then at least they could orientate to the type of content they developed in ARR. I miss puzzles (quest with riddles), dungeon designs, where you actively have to go to hidden rooms to unlock the whole map; alliance raids, where it requires actual teamwork in order to progress (such as CT:Atomos!), Unlocking Vistas via weather/time change. Epic raids such as Coils! Seasonal Events, that were actually touching in the story, with better rewards on top (mounts/minions instead of jewelry, which you probably glamour over). Whenever I do these contents, I always wonder how the game could regress to the state it is was to it is now.

    And to resume with the main topic:
    I don't fear anything. If Square Enix doesn't want to listen into the ideas of the player base, it is their decision on how they will proceed with the game design. The number of subs will tell if it was a right or a bad one.

    You just gave me another thing to fear for 5.0. Them moving away from that unholy combination was one of the best things ever. I'd much rather they gave us locations that actually forced us to explore, and more jump puzzles, than create that sort of artificial difficulty again. At least now when you can unlock flight, they're very limited in the number of vistas they can lock behind jump puzzles (but lord when they do, they go all out [looks up at Kugane tower])

    everything you just said is entirely subjective. no one liked dungeons with hidden rooms - they just wanna get to the end super fast and be done with it. it's why they took that kind of stuff out. vocal minority wants it back in, not gonna happen. ppl complain too much about CT's atomos. plus half the time they don't/can't do it properly. it's why you don't see stuff like that anymore. you say Epic raids with touching story. what makes it exactly "EPIC"? my def of epic is different than your definition of epic. do devs have time to make overly involved seasonal events? no they don't, and they're fluff. only supposed to be fluff. if we get a mount yay. about 1 a year which is reasonable imo. we've pretty much almost gotten a mount for almost every seasonal event now - starlight bear, eggsiliration system, witch's broom, etc. with plenty of minions to go around.

    Oh I forgot. I'd actully be not that happy if the base game content was made easier. Stormblood tried to bring a bit of challenge in MSQ (Shinryu, Tsukuyomi at their time), the Burn hits a bit harder too, and the Alphascapes are still a wipe fest 8 weeks into the patch. I kinda like "tough" gameplay, and I'd like to have them go on in that direction for the next expansion...
    I don't know if it would fit the overall playbase though.

    They overhaul Bard again for no apparent reason despite almost everyone loving this iteration of the class.

    Oh, and they waste their time with more mini-game experimental content like Lords of Verminion that nobody ever asked for. I almost see Blitzball falling into the same category, although people actually have asked for that, so I suppose I'll let that slide if it happens. But Verminion? I don't think so, and it likely contributed majorly to why early HW was pretty awful.
