I've seen 2 of the Horns appear on the Balmung MB so far. I'm going to have to grind ALL the way through Pagos now. I stepped into there when it first when live and noped tf right back out because I don't believe in doing content that is LITERALLY not fun... since gaming is what I do FOR FUN. I have every single Anemos relic completed and 2 of the armour sets and just stopped when I realized how horrible Pagos was. Now I have to figure out how to do it in time to manage Pyros.

No you DON'T have to do Pagos or Pyros. You have to just deal with not having the items you like or wait for the prices to drop.

You'd be doing exactly what SE wants you to do by playing Eureka for the horns. That's literally the only reason why they put the items in there. It's a trap. They know people like you who HATE their content will still continue to sub and play Eureka because they intentionally put items you want in it.

So for those of us who abanonded Eureka long ago (I think I only made it to level 7 or so in Anemos), would we have to max out level in Anemos, then move on to maxing level in Pagos, then head over to Pyros?

If that is what's required, are there any good guides how to move through this relatively fast?

I really hate the fact that SE put more emotes/hairstyles into this stuff, but I've been pretty bored in game lately. I may be able to suffer a wee bit with Eureka if it's not going to take me ages. Maybe.

It is, indeed, required you go through all of Anemos and Pagos to access Pyros. In terms of leveling, your options are:

- Challenge Log
- Grind mobs close to your level (Generally 2-4 levels above yours, though this is considerably harder in Pagos. I'd say keep moving up and stop when the mobs hit too much for you to reasonably risk)
- Try to spawn or wait for NMs

In Pagos, you can grind off the Bunny FATE now. I can't say whether the EXP is worth it since I haven't tested it yet. Otherwise, it's mob grinding and the Challenge log.

I'm going to reinforce what the last person said. Do NOT put yourself through content you personally find awful because you want something RIGHT NOW. It's a trap. Wait it out. The price will eventually drop.

You also have ultima horns and the pvp? horns already AND you're a blooming Au Ra.

Well, I'd also finish at least one Relic. I've done the previous Relics as well. This would be the first Relic I haven't done. I'm just super salty because they've done such a horrible job with this crap. And I'm offended by how they're trying to force people into doing it at this point. It's not even remotely subtle. Not to mention the lack of consideration into how players will be able to go back and do relics again, or new players will do this particular relic once a new expansion hits and people no longer are running this unholy trashfire...

It's just bad planning. Which is SAD. There was a lot of hype and hope for it originally and it makes me upset and sad to see what it has devolved into.

I'm debating what to do. I deal with both time issues due to work and anxiety issues when I don't have people I know to play with. Anemos was OK to do because of the Train, I could dive in and just get lost in the Herd, no pressure or issues. Pagos was different when I stepped into it. Brutal and unkind. I don't want solitude and I play a healer... so attempting to Solo a Challenge Log is a painful idea. (I could use an off-class like RDM, but I'd rather go on my main... eeeesh. UGH.) No matter how I look at it, unless there's some kind of changed atmosphere or situation when I go back into Pagos now, it may just be dead content to me, anyway... (Thanks Yoshi-P.)

Aw love. Wou know what they say: "Everything comes to those who wait". It's especially true for MMORPGs. Stuff will either eventually be easier to obtain or it will be come super cheap or they'll add something better later on although I can't see how many more reiterations of devil horns they can make anymore >.<

While I very much do agree, if I wait too long, people will stop doing the zone... and prices will skyrocket as well. It's a chance-game of playing the MB in general. Along with walking the line of 'do I suck it up and do my Relic for this expansion or not... tick-tock... make up your mind because if you don't decide soon you literally won't be able to do it when no one is in the zones any longer and you can't spawn/kill the NMs/Boss!'

Also, the main reason I want them is because they resemble the dragon horns I like rather than 'demon' horns. But I collect the various horns in general. If only they'd make everything dyable and stop being so stingy... -_-

You always have the option of spending your time doing other content you do enjoy to earn gil then buy the things you want from other players. That's how I do it.

I just wish the chocobo furniture could be traded since I don't PvP. It was an opportunity for SE to give PvPers a chance to make gil and they blew it.

If anything the price will probably go up over time as more and more people abandon the content, leading to fewer drops in the first place (see also, Night Pegasus Whistle price up 10 mil compared to a year ago.)

Yeah, this. Even the POTD hairstyle went up in price - I got a drop when I was doing it to unlock HoH and I ended up selling it for 850k. There's a sweet spot that has to be hit before the content goes dead, and with Eureka there's no buffer zone like POTD or HoH where anyone can really do it alone or with a few friends and just grind it. Eureka is far too dangerous and designed in such a way grinding Anemos/Pagos/Pyros is just....savage.

This is the real problem. If I decide there's something I really want from PotD or HoH, I could conceivably get a few friends together and do it, even years down the line. With Eureka, there's no way I could get enough people interested to go back and do the total slogfest, just so I could get a furnishing.

Well, maybe when Eureka becomes a no man's land, they'll delete it and move all the items to something else, like they did with Diadem (well, all the items but the Pegasus Whistle).
