I mean, I understand that there are people that like simple jobs so they can focus more on mechanics, but thankfully we can freely switch jobs whenever we want and healers all share the same gear. Just try other healers and show SE that WHM needs some attention. Right now, WHM is the most played healer. This probably makes the devs believe that it's actually in a great spot and that a lot of healers prefer using a blatantly underpowered job if it's easier.

What I wanted to say is, please do try SCH and AST. You will probably like them more than WHM.
I'm not sure what content you're looking at but for quite some time now SCH has been the most played healer in Savage which is what things get balanced around. WHY may be more used in expert roulette or whatever (as it should) but that's not to say that that should have literally any impact on balancing.

As far as liking AST or SCH more I was a SCH main in HW who swapped to WHM for SB and mained it up until the end of Sigma. I can say AST is less painful to play with the Malefic cast time reduction but I still don't enjoy playing it. AST is so reliant on the party doing basic things to stay alive (stand in the star) or maximize dps (... don't suck if you get cards I guess?) that with pugs it's so painful to play. SCH is fun I suppose but also doesn't feel as carry-friendly as WHM as once you burn aetherflow and dissipation you're basically level 50 again. WHM has the throughput to drag even the baddest bads through things and that's an enjoyable trait in today's DF.
