    I'm at a stage of the game where I'd normally be happy filling in some time making a few relics, but it's become impossible now. Even with full instance, people just stand about doing zip all and shouting never gets you a party, not ever. You persist for an hour and get 2 fates in whoopee. These days I wait til I see a party inviting under PF - if I'm lucky I might find one a week. The content isn't really the problem for me (yeah, grind, whatever) - it's unplayable even if you WANT to do it.

    They really need to up the ilvl sync.

    There is ZERO reason that content that rewards 355 (anemos) 370 (Pagos) is synced to 300.

    RAISE THE DANG SYNC LEVEL.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

    Why? They can achieve the same thing by tuning mobs' attack power and hp or the magia board. If they up the ilvl sync it will do more harm than good since players won't have as much freedom switching to different jobs (rdm). You'd be locked on your main job.

    Something just has to give in Eureka.

    I am in level 34 and the very notion of going into Eureka to get that last level and doing that last awful fetch quest for Krile sounds just so horrible. I am not joking with anyone here, it. Is. Terrible.

    Not to mention the 24 lights I still have to get for just one relic. I mean, come on! In Anemos people would shoot for several relics and even gear upgrades so they could dye the stuff they wanted, but why is it that in Pagos we have to go to hell and back several times over for just one weapon?! Its insane!

    If this is gonna happen again in Pyros, I don't think I will bother with a relic ever again, not if its tied to Eureka in any way. Its just too much for too little, and for something that is gonna last only a few months until it is replaced.

    I can't wait to see what they do to keep Anemos alive. I doubt they could do anything other than make it manageable with a light party or solo, which I doubt they will do.

    Exactly.

    What I'd like them to do is actually the opposite. Sync your level and ilvl UP so you can use Eureka to level alt jobs along the way like POTD/HoH. Would make the dev time put into Eureka feel more worth it IMO if it served a purpose beyond artifacts.

    To me, the biggest problem with Eureka isn't the grind. It's that Eureka isn't particularly fun or interesting, and it brings absolutely nothing new to the table. That is a large part of why I don't care for it. If it were fun I'd be in there every day (as I'm sure a lot of other people would be). But it's just...not. I get that with this being a sub-based game they need to slow people down, but it's so blatantly obvious with Pagos and they don't really try to mask it.

    I don't know about other servers after reading these posts some of these posts. I mine though depending on how many people are in the instance and what's going on shouting can usually get you into a party. The only thing I have seen is when we are trying to get more people for Louie it's very tough at times can be.

    I'm not a fan of Pagos but I can't really agree with the assertion that it's dying.
    I've been back a few times in the evening since the challenge log and light buffs and always been put into a full instance. I'm on the Primal datacenter.
    Maybe it isn't doing well outside of prime time.

    The easiest fix they could implement for Anemos at this point would be to remove the i300 level sync while keeping the fauna at their current strength. Being able to go in packing the power we have now will definitely ease the grind and maybe even make soloing the instance before the heat death of the universe a possibility. I see no reason whatsoever to keep the gate up now that Pyros is on the horizon and the rewards in Anemos are outdated. Pagos, who knows... that has more issues than a simple unsyncing of ilvl can fix. Not sure why they decided to be so hostile when it was clear that players rejected their original vision as tedious and extremely unfun.

    I want to like this content, SE. Stop doing your best to recreate what everyone hated about old MMOs- no one stuck with them because the leveling and monotonous grinding experience were something to savor.
