    It's alright. Requires quite a bit of awareness and gets mentally exhausting to heal after doing multiple kills in a row. (Have to keep the tank up while dodging in case they get hit by a panel and just immediately die).

    If you try to cheese the merry go round there is very little room for error but that's a risk you take or you can just be safe and go around. If you mess it up and don't get a heal you will probably get juggled and die.

    The mindjack tether is not too hard to do consistently. Check the pattern, make note of the 3rd and 4th runes. Check your direction arrow and figure out which panel of those two where you won't walk off and stand right in the middle of it by the symbol (very important, if you are too far back you will get clipped, center works for me 100% of the time). When it resolves, the panel you are going to will end up blowing up in your face right before you end up on it, so even people with high ping should be able to do it.

    Damage should be going out before the animation tbh instead of the animation then damage. Then it's more obvious that you were in the bad when the server registered you as hit instead of being halfway into the safe spot then getting the damage even though you were hit 2 seconds ago. (i.e Getting clipped by Hot Tail in O10S even though i was halfway into the safe spot and died away from the telegraph)

    The hole in the middle is a necessary evil since it would make a lot of the mechanics trivial if you could just sidestep repeatedly in the center. Maybe the pull in was a bit much but it is Extreme and most of the time she does it there is a jumping animation so it's fairly obvious when a pull/knock is coming up.

    SE's netcode has been poor since the very beginning of FFXIV. The server ticks have always been awkward. There's nothing new about this.

    The reason people are suddenly venting is because Suzaku EX requires a degree of pre-positioning that most players aren't used to. Ergo, fix the pre-positioning issue. I suppose SE could throw the usual ugly orange overlays onto the panels - which would immediately make it obvious to people that the players are the issue here, not the netcode - but it would ruin the aesthetics of a rather beautiful phase.

    As a note, if you can't tell where you're supposed to go for Forced March, eating the first explosion won't kill you from full HP and the stun will eat the duration of the march. It's a good emergency "save".

    I play on 190ms and can slide just fine too. Issue is, the snapshot doesn't seem to be consistent everytime you instance into the fight so you have to compensate for it. Its annoying, specially when SE been having insta snapshot stuff since last patch with UWU and Alphascape. Anyone who say Suzaku snapshots aren't bad haven't seen Aura get 14 damage stacks on DDR.

    I was talking about the AWFUL snapshots, not the other mechanics. the bad snapshots are the only truly difficult part of the fight and not in a good way at all.

    I personally think the fight is super easy. Actually, I think it's the easiest and mechanically bare(as in, not having a lot of mechanics) EX trial to date. But I +1 this because of how ridiculous that is and to me it's definitely an issue. I've experienced lag on panels but not like that O.o.

    I have to admit I do often mix up the yellow and brown panel a alot somehow. I see people saying black but to me it totally looks brown lol. I think if the colors were deeper/more vibrant and brown/black was switched out for a new green or red color it would help so so much.

    Deep blue, purple and yellow stay the same, and a new deep red or green color. That's my ideal Suzaku. Then again, I'm a big dreamer.

    The snapshotting is bad--like a good half-second off or more--but hardly unique in that regard. Flee an exploding quadrant noticeably before it explodes, and you're hit, but, by the same coin... enter an exploding quadrant just before it explodes, and you're safe. It just reminds me of playing Titan Ex at 330 ms ping: count down, run before animation, run back into animation = safe.

    It's counter-intuitive and an eyesore, and I wish such discrepancies would be fixed, but it's nothing that makes the fight impossible or even all that much more difficult.

    I have under 50 ping... but I still get hit when well off the exploding quadrant.

    The latency issue is only thing that makes this fight a problem

    I live in Aus ,i play on Chaos
    I have my far share of ping issues like susano / titan puddles i get it
    But these just dont feel right
    Are they gonna fix it?

    The whole latency thing makes me avoid this fight like the plague...this is just a great example of the horrible snapshotting this game has.

    when people rather do Savage then an ex trail becuase Savage is easier in terms of not fighting the game and boss lol there are some issues.
