Blue mage ' beast master ' dancer

not to mention the ascien-hunter who travels with Alphinaud could introduce the gunblader-cls later on... any thoughts about him?
if we already speculate which msq char comes with which job-cls.... so who's the dancer? ;p

If the leak is correct, I'd wager Shadowhunter=Gunblade class, Alphinaud=Blue Mage to contrast Alisae, and an as of yet unrevealed character for Dancer, similar to Gosetsu with Samurai.

I am also fairly certain that when we talk about shadowhunter that would not be a job but moreso pertains to a title of a group so the man with the Gunblade and his companions (one was a blm if i recall) they are all shadowhunters, just like the Scions were not a job but a group.
Just my idea of course.

If u look back at FF11 like i said u will see tht's the only why blue mage learn spells in FF11 unless thy decided to change it also i believe alphin not blu he going to keep tht class because he is very smart unlike his sister she is more a battle person thn him also to because blue mage u need to come close to death like fordola did

Lol going to say this so all u Blue mage tank ppl i keep seeing i already know its not going to be tank but going to say it anyway if thy try to make BLU a tank everyone going to try to make BLU a dps in tank role thn everyone going to be piss off because the tank not trying to hold hte thy want to dps on there favorite class look at most tanks now always saying u want to tank and if u say no because i'm building drk to be dps thy get piss everyone don't like tanking unless there warrior because it hit harder thn drk which need to be fix so HELLs No 3 tanks is all we need as for healers same thing because most ppl don't want to stand there watching u do damage and thy just heal it boring as hell just like tanking with no damage so tht should show why we don't need more tanks and healers so if thy make BLU a power house tank thy hve damage all hands go i'll tank but if not all hands down and i'm 85% sure alot of ppl in FF14 will agree because watching u guys doing damage and it feel like the burn is slow as hell thy will get piss and ask u to kick thm i know because i been in groups like tht on drk and pld on my main account which i hte i lost be w.e

I've had to settle for DRK as the best option out of three, but personally find the 'edgelord' a bit to strong and the DA spam annoying.

If either BLU or the gunblade class was a tank, it'd be awesome and I'd finally have a tank class I'd enjoy.

Blue mage has never really been about damage, it's always been utility, with a mix of gimmicky healing, mitigation and debuffing, plus usually has pretty decent physical capability.
It wouldn't be out of place as a tank at all.

I concur, alas apparently, according to some datamining, a new DPS is in preparation and will be using caster equipment. That leaves BLU with a DPS role. But I'm fine with gunblader at tanking I guess ? Though I would have seen gunblader as a 3rd physical ranged that could go melee half the time (much more than RDM who was an utterly false promise for casters).

I don't know, I feel like you that BLU wouldn't be out of place as a tank either. I think I'll love it in any role he is given anyway.

BLU could still work as a melee range INT-based caster DPS, due to the nature of their transformation abilities. We'll see how much SE leans into giving nods to old skills though.
