BLU could still work as a melee range INT-based caster DPS, due to the nature of their transformation abilities. We'll see how much SE leans into giving nods to old skills though.

Blue as tank till no because blue mage wears light gear not heavy gear like drk pld war if i hve to look bk at all ff games there or 3 more classes tht could be a tank holy knight rune fencer beast master but thy not trying to make any more pet classes so idk

1 tank,1 heal,1 dps really should just be the standard from now on
one for each role
nothing wrong with adding more DPS since there is obviously much more players(aka paying customers) of them and more are needed in parties
Just preferably add a tank and heal as well to please all (who want new classes)

Or at least alternate with expansions.
We got one of each with HW, two DPS with SB, 5.0 should be one of each again, with 6.0 should be two DPS again.
That would probably exhaust all possible options by then, so if they do get to 7.0, I've no idea what they could do.

Hell we may not even get a healer and/or tank and just dps again...

We do not need a tank and a healer every expansion. I'd much rather see SE add one of either each expansion and a DPS alongside it, going to the role that needs it the most at that point (so not another Striking melee or caster).

Spacing them out would make it easier to balance them all against one another over time.

In FF5 you had to get hit by the move to learn Blue magic and the gear was more like plate armor with a super hero mask,
Not saying blue is a tank but its not out of the realm of possibility for it to be one.

Just like cecil being a Dark knight and Paladin led Dark Knight to becoming a tank in ff14 instead of a DPS like in ff11.

Id prefer a gunblade tank anyway but Blue would be alright

Thy should keep it dps i'm telling u if thy take the most class tht everyone love on dps to tank thy going to hve a problem because tanking is boring ppl don't like tanking unless thy hve to its not the class ppl love to show damage out in pvp not just taking it plus tanking u get a lot of haters to because u don't want to stay in tank role so forget tanks also ppl love to burn faster to test there damage solo see how fast thy can solo things so far pld drk is bad vs war so i for one would be upset because i always play blu or make a blu also tht blu from ff5 look stupid ff11 was where blu really got alot of ppl eyes me and my friends and alot of other ppl i know as for the farming spells with others tht was super fun all the blues come together to get their spells also testing there damage to see who had higher damage was fun there was alot abt blu from ff11 tht ppl don't get why we want it like 11 even if tht cant give us weapon skills i'lll still play blue mage but tanking with low damage srry can't do it

I like tanking i enjoy what all 3 have ,WAR is fun to dish out the damage and consistent self healing,PLD is great because of its utility and DRK is my favorite of the 3 aesthetically and conceptually,honestly if Dragoon was a tank i would never need another class (Holy dragoon when yoshi).
People love to push the limits of Healers and Tank DPS its a big reason why some play tanks/heal other then the concept of the job.
Stop projecting about "Healers only play heals because pvp dps need to be stopped" and "tank only tank because somone have to do it".

thats bullshit... although I main smn for savage, I play tank and heal out of savage even more than dds doesn't matter if pvp, eureka, or dngs. – u shouldn't talk for others, just for yourself - and if you try doing that maybe come up with some new insights? repeating your very first post for 3 pages now starts getting boring... and doesn't let u look serious at all.
