I can't be sure but I imagine the intent here was not on every item added to the loot list and more just after the final boss is killed. There is no issue with gear throughout a dungeon, you're going to be there whether someone rolls on loot or not.As a PLD main, I usually tank in dungeons. And you know what? Sometimes I just get busy. If I'm pulling two to three mob packs at a time, making sure I've got aggro on everything, positioning them so they don't hit the group, dodging AoEs, managing my CDs so the healer can dps too, and putting out as much damage as I can, I don't always have time to fiddle around with the roll menus right away. And if the DPSers aren't very good or I don't know, wandering off to open chests and play around with loot, then sometimes it can take those big pulls a while to die. You're saying I should get booted from the dungeon if I don't drop what I'm doing to roll on some trash gear in under a minute?
Well have fun getting ripped apart by those eight to twelve mobs I pulled just before getting tossed out and then sitting in the queue for god knows how long until you get a replacement tank. Hope the GC seals you get from the trash gear were worth it.

If he is just talking about the final boss, then why bother kicking anyone at all? Why not just say "Please make the /roll time on the final chests shorter."?
I can only go by what the OP actually wrote, speculating about what he "really" meant won't get anyone anywhere. And what the OP wrote was a terrible idea stemming from a petty annoyance.

Well to be fair the conclusion you jumped to makes literally no sense. What would be gained by kicking people for not rolling on loot that has dropped during a run of something other than booting the occasional afker? If he is just talking about the final boss, then why bother kicking anyone at all? Why not just say "Please make the /roll time on the final chests shorter."?

This seems like it's clearly meant to avoid the annoying situation at the end of a dungeon or raid where people sit there trying to win a minion or something by default.
It could have been clearer but you tore into the OP for something that I don't think they intended and frankly I don't know how you found your way to the conclusion you wound up at.
