I really wish that streamers would use more phrases that would show that its only their opinion, especially if people question them in stream and they state it again as if its a fact. x)' Gets a bit confusing if you do not know the lore 100% and/or are from a different language. At least that tells me to take some of these things with a grain of salt.

I do agree that the confusion might be because other people would call their own shard a star/planet because they are living on one but that it would not mean that every planet in our universe is a shard. (Which would not make sense because we know that barely any shards are left)

I think it's mostly a difference in PoV between say Ethys and Anonymoose (whom I believe like to nerd out together on XIV lore on- and off-screen otherwise). Ethys likes to stick to the material provided in-game to the letter while Anonymoose is, if I remember correctly, more a believer of 'the in-game authors could lie/embellish to us or make 'mistakes'' which of course could be a calculated tool for providing a story narrative by the authors of the in-game authors (inception much?).

Both have their merits I suppose. As to why streamers don't always make it clear it's their opinion, remember they're human in the end as well. What I mean to say is that I can certainly understand it to be cumbersome if streamers have to constantly say in their streams something is their opinion, especially if they've been going on with what they do for so long. Doesn't negate the fact it would be handy if they did, but there you have it. It never hurts to always ask yourself "but what if..." when dealing with these things in the end and decide for yourself if the information provided works for you. ^^

Oh I can understand that they dont always just state "its my opinion" but sometimes its just felt like it is a fact in the way they say it (but maybe I interpret too much because its not my mother language) and when someone answers a question if this is true with a yes then it kinda feels like it is a fact for them otherwise they could have stated that the game hints at it thus making it more of a speculation.

I'd like to point out, the division of the two gods is what created our planet AS IT EXISTS NOW. The Ascians imply that they want to return things to they way they USED to be - which probably wasn't an empty, planetless void. Most likely, before the conflict between Hydaelyn and Zodiark, there was a planet there not dissimilar from those Omega and Middy called home. Did Hydaelyn or Zodiark create that planet? This is not known. It could simply be the world from which H and Z originated.

It will be interesting to see how this will all turn out. In my opinion I still believe, that Hydaelyn as the crystal exists in a different plane of existence thus her split with Zodiark could have been there too thus creating the dimensions where each one has their own version of a universe. Because if its just local I have a hard time imagening their lifes. Would they not have any stars and planets in the sky because if its only local, only the planet should have been split? What about a sun? Or would they see our source universe but with no way to really interact with it?

Seeing how certain characters do ask themselves what would happen to life if the Ascians win, then I do wonder if there was truly any life before it. Because if it was, why should our existence (at least on the source) really hurt them? But at the same time if Ascians already existed before that than life existed before that too. Maybe the banishment made people mortal which the Ascians dont like?

About Middy and Omega not knowning about dimension of their own world: It could be explained that they simply did not know that dimensions do exist. If they are from the source universe then they have probably never traveled to any other dimension, thus did not know about their existence. And later when Middy made the contract with Hydaelyn he may have gotten bigger insight but since he was sleeping mostly he may not have shared that knowledge either. Sadly we cant ask him this directly anymore.
