I guess it depends on how one defines or looks at a cleric then?

I think it's a typo. While I will agree that it makes sense to give conj a nuking stance, but it makes more sense to give them a healing stance. Nadien, don't even go there. We all know a cleric is an office secretary.
A cleric is a healer. CON opens WHM. The traits are geared toward healing abilities.
What don't you guys get? Why would they call this 'cleric stance' if its doing the opposite of what a cleric does. It's not that hard to understand.
This isn't a debate on whether or not adding 20% to nuking is useful or not. It just seems that with all the mistranslations and errors in the list upon release, its quite possible the description of this ability is reversed....which was my original point.

Awwww but Baxter you took away all the fun :P
No but really in a lot of fantasy setting games and such the cleric is not just a healer... the cleric has access to armor almost if not as good as a fighter type character and if set up correctly could do just as much damage while still holding onto that healing.. though not as good as a cleric that was set up for nothing but healing..

Yeah, traditionally in fantasy games a cleric was a heavy armor wearing, mace-wielding, psuedo-healer. Though not entirely.Awwww but Baxter you took away all the fun :P

Sorta like a Paladin.

I might be inclined to agree on the typo if this ability was not listed in the old old post of CNJ/WHM abilities a ways back...A cleric is a healer. CON opens WHM. The traits are geared toward healing abilities.

Cleric =/= healing onry, Cleric differ from Mage/Wizard/Sorcer in that their spells come from Divine Power/Gods, and they do have some mightily destructive spells to both living and dead. Or at least that's what it is in DnD. FF is influenced by DQ, which in turn being influenced by Wizardry, that in turn is influenced by DnD. Typical cookie cutter fantasy nowadays slams Cleric = healbot.

in fact this...http://sqex.to/hom
10 Action Cleric Stance Increases potency of attack spells by 20% and reduces potency of healing spells by 20%. Effect fades upon reuse. Recast Time: 30sec.
is this... http://sqex.to/nqm
CNJ Abl. 3 O Increases attack magic potency by 20% and reduces healing magic potency by 20%. Effect fades upon reuse.

Guessing no one here plays D&D. Clerics are battle mages that do have a lot of offensive spells. Fun fact the FF1 White Mage is based on a Cleric, which is why they are proficient with hammers and maces and have better physical stats than Black Mage, based on Sorcerers.

I tried playing D&D before w/ my friends at school this year.
Lets just say the 'kool kidz' weren't very nice.
