I was wondering when would you show up in this thread. And by you, I don't mean you personally, but the typical "smart guy" who would show up with a "smart" remark just to make himself look cool but in reality, is condescending and irrelevant.

Just to enlighten you a bit, this thread was started 3 days ago, when the original patch notes said "The active duration of companions summoned with Gysahl Greens has been increased from 30 to 60 minutes". That has been changed and it now reads "The active duration of companions summoned can now be increased up to a maximum of 60 minutes using Gysahl Greens."

My suggestion to you, "smart guy", is that before you make yourself look like a fool, get your facts straight.

I, too, was confused when I first summoned my chocobo out of habit on patch day after only having read the patch notes. But when I looked at Summon action on the chocobo submenu, I saw:



So I had my answer within 30 seconds of summoning my chocobo. Considering the majority of players never read patch notes or at best skim them for targeted highlights, I'm glad they got it right where it counts from the start.

Good for you. You seem to be a very thorough person and more power to you.

In my case, I don't need to be thorough with insignificant things like this, so I don't need to double check with other sources of information (in-game or outside of the game) when the patch notes provide all the information I need. The fact that the text for this was changed confirms what the OP stated: that it was misleading.

Seems like it's not so insignificant to you if you have to come to forums to complain.

Patch notes have never been 100% complete and 100% accurate in any MMO I've ever played. You should never rely on them alone. Guess you're learning something from this insignificant occurrence.

Since you are arguing with me just for the sake of arguing, I'll take my leave here, not before I state the following: I didn't come here to complain. I read the OP's post, I agreed with what he said to a certain extent (one of my previous posts mentioned that I found the text in the patch notes misleading but I also said that it was not important, not relevant and not game breaking). In other words, my argument was not about the mechanics of the change but rather the misleading information that confused some players (like the OP). I presented evidence that made my case crystal clear. However, since this is the Internet, I was expecting people like you and that other guy who made the "English is hard" smart remark so instead of getting involved in a stupid argument, I will conclude my participation in this thread now.
