    People complaining about the 3rd fight being too hard because they didn't know outdated words... I appreciate the the translation team to give us new words that are actually dead phrases so we can have more RP terms (even though I'm not an RPer...), and I for one actually appreciate the challenge... so long as everyone is geared well enough and melded well, which even then the can still be challenging.

    Oh, you guys are talking about that mechanic. I totally agree the naming convention is very strange.

    Not that it matters to me. My brain cannot process left/right (reverse action to left/right is even worse) fast enough to dodge that mechanic efficiently so I gave up on trying to dodge that mechanic altogether.

    I don't know what it is about this attack, but I got hit by every single one. I don't think it's a left/right issue because I Ravana when it was relevant as a melee no problem. Of course the fact that he turns around after the first one doesn't help matters.

    Funny thing about all this is, apparently, the Japanese equivalent translates to "Right" and "Left". Port, Larboard and Starboard are all Koji Fox just trying to be clever.

    Could you not be moving if he repeats the same term twice? For example, if he does Larboard into Larboard, you run to his opposite side both times. Keep in mind, left is relative to the direction Omega faces. Since he turns around after the first attack, it'll be your right when you dodge (but his left.)

    The telegraph seems to be just a courtesy so people can figure out the range of it, unless you have insanely good ping by the time you see it, the server marks you as hit. Being right behind it is one of the easiest ways to deal with it. The shape of the splice is a bit larger than just his left and right side so the further you are from his center the harder it gets to dodge it.

    If both of them are the same, the second one will hit the opposite side of the first. If they are different, the second one will hit the same side as the first one.

    It's actually pretty punishing as people attempt to dodge the first one since they get faked out by the telegraph thinking they need to dodge but still get hit anyways right as he starts using the second one and if it's a double of a same laser they fail both leading to death.

    I really wish people would stop repeating this statement. It's wrong. The Japanese nautical terms just include the kanji for left and right in their names. It's effectively as if port and starboard were called leftward/rightward instead.

    The French translation uses bâbord and tribord which are their equivalent to port/starboard. I don't know what the German one does.

    Are you really surprised that few people have heard of a term that hasn't been officially used by the Royal Navy and the United States Navy since 1844/1846? Really?

    Thanks for the laugh.

    Starboard -> S -> Right

    Basically stop taking in the whole word and making it harder on yourself.
    Or they could've just used starboard and port. They had no issue with using those two words on the second boss in The Temple of the Fist.

    Well, at least they're consistent. Those are the German names for starboard and port according to the PDF I found that listed the translation of nautical terms between English and German.

    Isn't that a bit pedantic though? Leftward and Rightward are, essentially, left and right with "ward" added.
