I am very curious as to how your house looks. My fc house has still something like 80 slots left and the house looks quite full, aside from the upstairs but it won't need 80 slots to finish it. 15 at most.
Perhaps it's down to us using much larger furnishings so we get more for one slot.
If you can “fill” an entire floor with 15 items, I would assume that you’re not a decorator. This is an issue for people who put a lot of time and effort into decorating.
For example my bathroom sink here takes 26 items alone (not counting the partitions):

That's putting it a bit harshly, you might want to rethink your wording on this. As it is, it comes off extremely condescending. She said that she 80 slots left over after decorating most of her house but could finish filling up her top floor just using 15 of those. And there is absolutely nothing wrong in going with a sleek, less cluttered look in your interior designs anyway.
They absolutely do take a slot. So do the stables.

Uhm.. if you need to many spaces though you are not a decorator either, sorry I just noticed... also with large houses... it is the matter of the whole wide area containing a few classy things that make it difficult to do a large house most of all as well... decorating is not about putting 40 items into one single corner, it more or less show lack of effort spreading it out or unable to do stuff with current decorations without having to go advanced, so please don't call people out saying what they are andf what they are not... that bathroom more or less look like something from a 20 year old game as well
As for creativity it is a matter of using what got already and make it work, that is decorating... for 15 items in a room... very simple and elegant way of doing that... room with crafting the decoratings alone standout well enough to fill a room, or a kitchen... one of the rooms I made in my large house only contain 17 items in a wide spread and looks good.
You both need to chill out a bit. Everyone has their own personal preferences when it comes to decorating. There are no standards that have to be met to be considered a decorator. There doesn't have to be a minimum number of items use nor a tight limit. Things don't have to placed only in small groupings anymore than every square inch has to be packed. It's what you personally want in your space that matters.Uhm.. if you need to many spaces though you are not a decorator either, sorry I just noticed... also with large houses... it is the matter of the whole wide area containing a few classy things that make it difficult to do a large house most of all as well... decorating is not about putting 40 items into one single corner, it more or less show lack of effort spreading it out or unable to do stuff with current decorations without having to go advanced, so please don't call people out saying what they are andf what they are not... that bathroom more or less look like something from a 20 year old game as well

not_ya_wify's bathroom counter came out extremely nice considering the items we have to work with in the game. If you can do better for a bathroom counter, share screenshots with us. It would also be nice to see the screenshots of the entire room in your large that you decorated using only 17 items.

Not really, only give a commendation on the lightning, the walls around is flat and dull and show next to know taste or creativity... a more simple approach would raise the arms much more from people in general and amount of making a simple thing is a total waste of inventory space in a house... does not show creativity but lack of it.You both need to chill out a bit. Taste is subjective. You're not making a good case for how you believe things should be done is better than what not_ya_wify did. Try posting some screenshots of what you've done to argue your case.
Part of the fun of the housing game for a lot of people is seeing what they can make out of what we have. You're 100, 1,000 times entitled to your own opinion about what you do or don't like about housing styles - but trashing someone else's style, especially in a thread that's not even about style, is crass and isn't going to win you any friends. Your preferred mode of decoration may be to make the most with as little as you can, and that's fine, too, but that's your preference. That's why there's thousands of different housing styles in the world; one person may like stark minimalism, with its clean lines; another may revel in the victorian townhome, full of knicknacks and oddities. Not really, only give a commendation on the lightning, the walls around is flat and dull and show next to know taste or creativity... a more simple approach would raise the arms much more from people in general and amount of making a simple thing is a total waste of inventory space in a house... does not show creativity but lack of it.
I don't get why you feel the hostility is necessary, but it's enough to say that you don't agree with an increase in housing items and leave it there. And if you don't feel that way, then I can't imagine what your goal here is other than than to simply insult someone else.
I agree, and got nothing against people saying stuff and the likes as long as it do not get personal in anyway, stating the same though that amount of items needed is not a sign of creativity either, but a lack of can be the same way of looking at things, either way you would be welcome to take a look at my own house in it's current state of always moving around in the mist ward 13, plot 15, Server Zodiark, got some new ideas to try out as well, though I don't consider myself pro in decorating or anything that is up for others to judge, as would be difficult to do that myself, but my goal is to try and make it done with as few items as possible needed for this and that and it is a constant battle trying to make it simpler but better looking as it is as certainly could use +2 item spaces elsewhere and the likes and so goes on the battle of trying to win over the 400 item limit for goodPart of the fun of the housing game for a lot of people is seeing what they can make out of what we have.
