    the part that has me confused is that the repeat option is how an hourly repeat (earth time) will work with an alarm for SB/HW nodes since those are more frequent. I wonder if it will repeat at the appointed time anyway.

    Well those would be like for other things, maybe outside of game - i.e. "take a break! Walk outside! Get some fresh air!"

    I also suggested a gathering alarm system several years ago (at least one that would pop up with notifications when various gathering nodes were available if you were doing something else) and I'm super happy to see that they added a feature like this.
