Presumably people stay because they have fun. I know I take extended breaks whenever I'm not having fun with the game but then I don't have a house SE can hold hostage either.

If you don't agree with it, you don't have to buy it. It's optional. Isn't the the excuse so many SE white knight fan boys like to trot out whenever something controversial is released by SE?

I can see where people are coming from with regards to NOT wanting these things to be available to everyone, but I also think the Goobbue earring is absolutely adorable so I'm happy to hear that I'll be able to get one ^_^

The best way to ease the heat on the topic would be to give the non-prize items a different name to the prize items, just so people who've won a contest can display that fact while others get to wear cute clothes that make them happy.

Right now, SE has pipe dreams on eSports. That is why they made the Feast and put so many unique rewards to it, to get participation up and get people into it. As long as SE maintains their belief that they have a future in eSports, spoiler: they don’t, they will keep them exclusive. Once that changes, they will release them.

Be patient, you will get those mounts in time. Just like everything else.

Sure, but are they having fun because of the game or because of their friends? 'Cause Square only owns one of those things, and you taking breaks diminishes the quality of the other (for your friends).

They just said in the patch notes that UCoB UwU is being synced to 375. So, no. I sincerely believe they will not ever let people unsync Ultimate.

As a winner of several contests (my pride and joy was getting my design put on the local library's bookmarks), I could never sympathize or understand the "only i must have it!!!" mentality that comes with contests or content. The greatest reward is the memories and the pride, not some dinky, half-baked reward.

Besides, aren't they moving the ugly scarf out to replace it with Cloud hairstyle? There is still exclusive rewards you can get and have for years before they are released to general public.
