It doesn't affect things on my end, since me and others already knew about it, but someone who got ousted from our group for refusing to stop using a sniffer (And attracting a number of bad apples as a side effect) spread knowledge of it.

In spite of this, I've only ever seen non-trollish hunters taking advantage of it, so it hasn't really changed anything. The sniffer remains the biggest source of hunt drama currently.

Then what is the point in all the whining the last page or two of this thread if people aren’t being jerks/trolls when given a tool that could be abused?

The people trying to keep a lid on the “tricks of the trade” when it comes to hunts draw far more scrutiny. It’s hunts, ffs. We’re all on the same team...but sadly there will be folks that go “lol eff you all” and bot or abuse sniffers by pretending to afk in a zone with potential S rank spawn while they watch Netflix or whatever. Better to encourage reasonable use of sniffer ish tools. Can’t think of any legit reason to not hunts of course (or anything else in game for that matter, but that’s a whole other can of worms). Those sort of folks are a minority in my experience on 2 servers.

I understand the argument is ‘cuz abuse of the system’, but I don’t think it has much at all to do with trolls, snipers or rogues taking this info and abusing it. ACT triggers are far more dangerous yet widely accepted amongst the hunt community because it helps immensely with time and spawn rates.

I think it’s more to do with prideful hunters who would rather keep the info to themselves for their benefit than sharing the info for the betterment of the hunting community, honestly.

An adjustment here would make a lot of their large-group content a lot more playable.
They are working on party display priority and already implemented it in Eureka, but I wouldn't expect them to rebuild the whole thing, that's probably low in their priority list.

I think the successor of Guildwork (that should not be named) is more of a problem than triggers, because it broadcasts the coordinates right away and causes other S ranks spawners to miss it. If a hunt troll used triggers he still has to be there when it spawns, has to search it and has to call / wait for his buddies before he can troll, with the other program all trolls get the coordinates right away.

I guess I brought up good reasons why this thing is kinda blowing up and why it shouldn't have, yet you call it "whining" when it's just (harsh) criticism that some things don't have to be brought to everyone.

Trigger shout-outs have nothing to do with time or spawn rates. None at all. Even with ACT we have SB S Ranks that go near the 60 hour line. Or did I get you wrong? Your argument doesn't make sense in the way that those triggers work.

And you can have that opinion, that's totally fine. But I have to disagree with it because you are not acknowledging that there are Hunt Communities on other servers dealing with a lot of toxicity and that this just puts fuel in the fire.
Now attacking some spawners doesn't work really.
