i know most of these are for fun, but wouldn't a Bard's idle animation be, I dunno, playing their harp or flute?

Yeah but there's already like 3-4? flute animations? I was striking up the theatrical aesthetics of bard.


Maybe the more appropriate animation could be pulling out a blank orchestrion roll and start writing musical notes?

True but those animations are only in the performance feature. Also, the Bard you are thinking of isn't this kind of Bard; it's the kind, like Thancred was a "bard" back in 1.x and 2.x.
