I was laughing way too hard at the amount of people that got KO'd (including me).
The waiting was annoying, but luckily, I don't have to wait anymore cuz I got what I wanted. XD
[super inactive on this Forum LOL]
My whole party ate the giant mech's cleave in the garlean wave- full to dead. We were all laughing in chat. Every following fate had similar carnage, and one of our members got to be a moogle. Its really fun once you make it in.
As for the timer, for all we know it might be random and Aether was unlucky enough for him to not spawn for 10 hours.. but then that means there might be other 10 hour gaps or potentially worse gaps possible during the event. If a person has a busy schedule, they might be stuck camping on the weekends. I had just hopped on to send my retainers out before I started getting ready for work but was lucky enough to catch it shortly before the NPC poofed away *_*
It was a blast! I would dodge 3 AOEs in a row and then die from something I didn't even see. I didnt even feel bad about dying, every time I went back to the start there were a couple dozen of us popping up.
Probably not completely loaded. My other party member (we were only 2 peeps) would stand next to me and I still couldn't heal her, because she was shown as "out of reach" - mind you, she was standing next to me on the map. ISN'T IT FUN!
is the first fate/instance of rising recruiter stuff supposed to be empty/solo?
My first time in is was just another random player and myself. We managed the Garleans ok but could handle the second fate so we left. I requeued and ended up in a new instance with lots of other players. I don't know why the first assignment was wonky as there were lots of waiting players talking to the recruiter both times I queued.
That is caused by the poor object culling algorithm SE uses. I had opened a defect on it and went round and round that certain things like your current target and group members should never be culled and everything else should be range based with furthest culled first. I was basically blown off that there wasn't a problem and it was all my fault they couldn't handle high population events.
