    O please devs don’t listen to this person please. Displacement is not only fine it is also a fantastic move for positioning with mechanics. Now the secret my friend is to not jump off a cliff or into stupid with it. Which is insanely easy to avoid if you are not a moron.

    In a Class with no DoTs and an incredibly forgiving rotation why would you remove the only mechanic that requires any thought? Displacement is an incredibly useful tool and one of few good ways I have seen the development team add depth and fun at the same time to a class.

    IN ultimate i found the only thought that came from displacement is that if i use it now, i'll die. Thus i ended up holding for sequences longer than the skills cooldown. either reduce the range or remove the damage, it sends you way too far back and isn't that useful except for niche positioning requirements.

    To be fair Ultimate has a lot of places that require you to be in specific places at specific times, meaning that even with a shorter distance one might not get that optimal displacements per minute. That said, so far only titan is where I have trouble fitting a single displacement in.

    But yeah, I wouldn't mind clipping its distance a bit.

    Most players are nowhere near the standard of Ultimate lol. It's not just a RDM thing.

    I mean, the conversation turned to optimization of RDM which one facet of that is displacement maximization, so it's not beyond the veil that Ultimate gets brought up.

    I mean, I’ve cleared Ultima on RDM so RDM is definitely proficient when it comes to that content, however ultimate in general are so on rails with their mechanics that their aren’t many reprieves you get to use the ability, if the distance was shorter then you could cheese it better without being too far from mechanics. Far distance, unable to be double weaved as well as negligible damage. Displacement is the king example for bloat on jobs.

    The only mechanics I found displacement to be very good for would be, Pre-positioning for virus after greeding a melee combo, propositioning for 2nd foresaken after greeding a melee combo and Delta attack

    Too lazy to find again where i did read that Tether rdm's skill was useless and should be deleted from the game, but i find it highly useful in Pagos when things goes bad and you want to outrun some mobs so that they lost the aggro on you. Before eventually going back rezzing your group if they were some losses.

    If you enter Eureka put this skill back on your bars if it isn't, it can make the difference between saving the day and losing ten minutes begging for a rez in /shout chat.
