If you have a problem with needing a HQ rock and you don't want to mine, you have the market board as an alternative. HQ rocks are not restricted to the player solely via mining. Alternatives exist for you on this problem. You do realize that this is a terrible argument and excuse that can be turned around by saying "so where exactly is the fun found in mining the same rock 30 times until you get a decent HQ amount?". Furthermore, bringing a single player game into the conversation of an MMO where both structures of gameplay are RADICALLY DIFFERENT is a bit of a strawman and also not a good argument.
Fun is subjective for everyone and it's a bit selfish to imply that the game strictly caters to what you find fun, rewarding you the same thing that others have worked harder on for less. That's the problem that others seem to have with your logic.
