It is simply not possible for them to add every "good idea" that a player may have or request. That is just being realistic. So "wishing for him to be replaced" simply because your demands are not met just comes across as spiteful and unappreciative for everything he has done and continues to do for this game and it's millions of players.

This paragraph triggered me a bit so I felt the need to add in my 2 cents. First of all, yes, he did save and revive the game. Nice THANK YOU...I guess? But the man has been at the helm for 5 YEARS now and til this day, he refuses to change the formula and cycle of repetitve content patches. He says sh*t like "This has NEVER been done in any MMO!" yet...where's the "never been done before" content who preached about? I've seen NONE. Everything that Stormblood as offered so far has been nothing short of disappointment. He keeps repackaging old content and delivers them as something "new" but it's just old sh*t but with a new coat of paint.

The gear progression system is such failure. The gear has no lasting value other than glamour. Vast amount of gear looks overly feminine (Stormblood leveling caster bodies anyone?), and they become obsolete every 3 months to the point that wtf is the point of grinding for anything at all when it's soon gonna be going into the virtual trashcan? Gear has no bonuses, nothing to make them worth keeping (other than maybe glamour). It's fail. At least in FFXI, even when new gear came out, you were encouraged to keep old gear cause they still had value and they had bonuses on them like weaponskill bonuses or elemental bonuses for casters, but the gear in this game offers you none of that.

It makes grinding for stuff like relics and anima feel like a complete waste of time and effort for little reward. Getting gear offers no real sense of accomplishment or achievement personally.

The reason most of us want Yoshi replaced is because he, contrary to your claims, doesn't really seem to care much about what the players want. A lot of us want him to take risks that benefit the game and it's longevity.

We want him to end the repetitive formula of content. We want him to improve the housing system cause it's still flawed as all hell. We want him to stop repackaging old content and delivering them as new content when CLEARLY it isn't. We want him to make gear more RELEVANT and worth keeping beyond just for glamour.

We want him to make content that has SOUL. Eureka is a prime example of terrible design. A FFXIV youtuber called Eureka a "love letter to FFXI". Honestly, I call BS on that. Eureka is terrible representation of FFXI and should not have been made. We want him to make the OVERWORLD worth exploring, increase the monster levels, make them threatening, challenging! SoA FFXI did this VERY well at SoA's launch. Even Mandragoras could kick your ass. We want THAT.

The overworld is lacking. No matter what expansions he makes, if he keeps the formula as is, the overworld will STILL not be worth exploring.

I'll end with this: If we had a new director who actually took the training wheels off and actually made NEW content and not rehash making us think their new, then the game would benefit ALOT more. Yoshi-Pees has no real understanding of what players want. This isn't even a mmo to me.

To me, this game plays like a single player FF game. If I wanted a single player FF game that thought it was a MMO, I'd play FFXII. As long as Yoshi is in charge, this game will not have a great future, but will have a terrible ending. I don't want this game to suffer when it has the potential to be much better than it is now. But Yoshi won't allow it to improve and he is holding the game back. It's time to go.

I just wanted to point out with this that the 'Never done before in an MMO' thing was mistranslated. What was actually said was 'Never done before in our MMO' and it was in regards to the feature shown at the end of the 4.3 MSQ. Which he was correct, that was something that was never seen before in FF14, so he didn't actually say anything factually incorrect there.

That said I do agree that there could be some changes made to FF14, if you don't savage raid there is less and less to do each patch especially with them artificially extending the content by releasing it throughout the course of the patch cycle instead of the main patch itself. It would also be nice if they did try things a bit more, or at least innovate based on how players actually play the game rather than throw a tantrum and force their intended style down our throats ala Pagos style. I've seen a lot of really good ideas floating around the threads discussing Pagos and it's sad because I have no hope what so ever that any of it will be taken to heart by SE as something to add.

    -The newest Chinese glamour
    -Far Eastern Lady/Lord set
    -Korean set 1
-Korean set 2(Sorry forgot their names but they're in there)

We have alot of Asian gear. We just don't have alot of SAM gear. But we definitely have alot of Asian gear.
Also a couple of corrections to this list. The Doma Castle gear and the i180 Law gear are the exact same sets, so really shouldn't be separated. The only difference between them is you can dye the i180 Law gear. As for the Azim Steppe crafter/gatherer gear and the Bardam's Mettle gear they don't really belong in this list either. They are Mongol themed gear which is a vastly different style from the Oriental style used in all the other sets, yes it is Asian but they really are out of place with the over all style of the other sets. I will agree that we haven't gotten much in the way of Ala Mhigan gear, but on the same token one can say that their gear all sort of... seems a bit similar when you do look at the sets.

Balsaar's Wall is Ala Mhigan resistance gear
Level 68 crafted gear is Ala Mhigan
Castrum Abania and the Farlander gear from Hell's Lid is Ala Mhigan
The i310 gear is Ala Mhigan ((Totally forgot the ilvl of the first sb tome gear, fixed it))
And the prior top crafter/gatherer crafted gear was Ala Mhigan
I also suspect that the Suspenders glam gear was Ala Mhigan as well.

So there is room for more, but on the same token it's not a bad start.

Are they really? Wowow. That makes it even worse. So that's 2 out of 5 leveling dungeons that gave recolored HW gear. That's pretty bad..

I agree. SE needs to really innovate rather that continue repeating the same old patterns all the time. I don't mind grinds so much as the fact the grinds feel all kinda the same. I think also since SE doesn't have serious competition they just rest on their Laurels and get by with what they can.
