I think this game is beginning to fade (die) and I do hope it does, all I ask is that the next Final Fantasy MMO has the Miqo'te and Hyur races so I can import my characters from this game and continue in the new one!...

I'm really curious to understand why you think this is the case? Genuine question, not white knighting anything. Also if the desire is for it to die, why continue to play it? For something to die you need not support it you know.

Probably the bitterness that has formed as a result of the devs walking on the line of using their playerbase as guinea pigs when it comes to their content formula, while somehow at the same time being too scared to experiment. I think people (me included) are getting sick of waiting months for a single patch which only contains reskins of content we have already done 4 months ago with the last patch. It's not really hard to see why people think the game is dying... and also why people are getting upset at the game... is a reskin of diadem and a reskin of palace and a reskin of dungeons and a reskin of this and that really worth the sub?

Also whoever they have on gear design needs to have a long hard think... or actually do some work.

Male au ra and midlanders, for me. :3 I just hope if they do eventually make a new MMO, they will make the racial choices more impactful and at least have more lore and distinctive background. I didn't like the city-states being the main cultural differentiation, and I don't even think the devs do, ultimately.

I mean... A human race is 100% guaranteed in every MMO ever. If SE releases a new MMO without any kind of human race then I'd applaud them for experimenting.

Why would you hope this game dies? It's a great game, and we want to the issues fixed to make it amazing!

I think, the Mindset behind it is, that the whole Game needs a restart by force if the Devs do refuse to break free from their Formula in any way.

I have to admit, I mostly stay for the Music and the Art, but the Game got stale a long time ago.
The Artists and Composers do a great Job and really try to give us great Songs and Artwork.
But then we have the Devs, captured in the same Formula for Years now and the most of them start to lose every love for the Game over time, by doing the same things over and over and over again.

They are like a Band, playing the same few Songs on every Stage for Years now.
No matter how much you love your Songs, you start to feel empty if you play those 6-7 Songs 5 Times a week for Years, with no end in sight.
I really love Movies like Blade Runner or Animes like Jojo's. But if I would have to rewatch Blade Runner every day or watch the same Season of Jojo's every day, I would get bored and even annoyed, but the things I love.

This is also one of the reasons, why people want Yoshi to be replaced.
He changed the Game into something he liked and it worked, but now, they Game is in this state for Years, with no signs of a change.
And people start to think, that things do not get done, because Yoshi dislikes those Ideas.
Nobody can say if this is true or not. But people know, that the Housing Problems have their Roots in Yoshis View in Housing and how he does not think, that Housing is something important in a MMO-RPG.

I remember how somebody told me about FF11 and how they handled stuff.
Make something new:
If it fails: Scrap the Idea
If it is a success: Make more of it later.

People disliked the Diadem and instead of scraping the Idea or make radical changes, we only got more of the things, people disliked.
And Eureka is just another Diadem and people dislike it, and we still get more of it.

A Part of the people liked the Palace and they got another one with SB and this was okay.
It was a Piece of the Content, but Eureka dominates a huge Part of the Content at the moment, despite that around 1/3 of the Community does not play it, or completely stopped playing FF14 because of it coming back again and again.

I think this is my biggest issue personally. It's really the fact that FFXIV releases a large majority of bite-sized content but staggers it AND locks it behind caps to give the illusion of extending value of the expansion. This in a way forces people to want to play something else...The problem is that it's a sub-based game. For me, I constantly have the thought that I'm subbing to the game and not getting my money's worth because I'm bascially being told that I can only progress so far every week.

You cap out on tomes and have to wait a week to gather more. You cap out on the Doman Reconstruction. You cap out on 24-man and Savage gear.
The story can be finished in 1-2 hours. And since it's staggered, you've got to wait another 2-3 months for a conclusion.
At this point, you're just left running the same dungeons repeatedly for tomes (that are once again capped) or gear for glamour since it's pretty much worthless.

I enjoy the game because it is really a good FF game. It has a lot going for it but the way that it's run is VERY frustrating sometimes and I feel like that's why people either say that it's getting stale or there isn't much to do.

Not likely the Fan Fest events were both full so far there are a few amount of recently joined and returned players on European most populated servers but you are also in the pre expansion temporary interval of quiet or lack of activity.
