If you're refering to "bye felicia" thats a common experience to use when someones leaving but you're not really sad about seeing them leave. Apparently its from the movie "Friday" and has some sort of meme-status?
So most likely not the name of the person who left, but just a phrase.

Oh, okay. I wasn't sure, never really heard that phrase.

    Okay. Ty for the info.

This, basically. I've had people invoke that meme just because of the name of my character actually, even if everything goes smoothly. They can't resist it seems. :P

Anyway, story time from me. I didn't think I'd be using this thread again until 5.0 hit when everyone is leveling the new jobs and such through roulettes, but yesterday's Lighthouse run was kind of... interesting. Interesting in the fact that for the first two bosses of the run, I was clearly out of it that day myself and I died at least once to each boss, except for Math Blaster. (That 3rd boss will forever be known to me as "Math Blaster" lol) I guess you could say it's what I get when I didn't get enough sleep the night before and just got off a 10 hour shift of physical work from my job. To explain in detail...

So I sign up for Lighthouse as a MNK, while my FC buddy signs up as a DRG. We went as melee DPS because we hardly ever choose to bring our preferred melee DPS jobs into 24 man raids. This would be the second time we brought our MNK and DRG combo. However, things got notably "interesting" further in...

First boss: First attempt ends in a wipe actually, so my one death in this battle was more a "EVERYONE IS DEAD!" battle, save for the 3 Tanks who were still alive at 6% left on the boss. They pushed, in hopes of killing it at that point. The PLD on my team fought bravely against the tank busters by himself with Clemency and all that, but it wasn't enough. Not that it mattered because the part that killed him was when the boss got down to 3%, he summoned more of his slime adds. Before someone asks why he didn't use Hallowed Ground on that part, I think he already used it to survive some earlier attacks when it was just the 3 Tanks left standing. We try again and clear on second attempt with little death.

Second boss: No wipes, but I was actually having some really rotten luck on this boss. You could say I was having "one of those days" in which nothing seems to be going right for you. When the boss decided to jump for his dash attacks, he actually liked aiming to dash across the middle of the room this time, rather then the sides. This didn't start to become a problem until the falling meteors started to come into play. (Those same meteors in which the AoE of them is directed based on the little time clock things on the floor) Just about every time the boss decided to charge across the middle of the room, I ended up dodging to one of the sides of the arena... that had those timer hands pointed in the direction I dodged to get away from the dash. On one of those occasions, I had TWO hands pointed in my direction when I dodged the dash. If I had known that the side of the arena I was going to dodge towards had two meteor aimed that direction, I would have just taken the boss's dash attack. D:

Made me wish that the hands were pointed completely away from the arena, instead of just away from the middle. But it doesn't end there. At some point during the battle, apparently there were enough dead healers across the whole alliance somehow that I ended up getting one of the timer tethers from those things that appear on the ground. If it had decided to tether to me at any other time, I would have shrugged it off and dealt with it. But I was screaming internally about it because I had literally JUST activated my chain of MNK buffs Riddle of Fire, Brotherhood, and Internal Release. So the Riddle of Fire combo I was about to pull off got a major interruption, as I now had to pay attention to the chain tethered to me and make sure no one ran through the said chain. There goes my major DPS burst moment. This really isn't my day.

Apparently, it's not just me though, as I quickly begin to note starting with the road to Math Blaster. We get to the golem adds that block our path to Math Blaster and begin. Within just a few seconds, my team has already cleared out the 4 golems on our end... but the other two teams have barely, if even, gotten their golems even down to half health. At this point, I quickly went from worrying about how poorly I may be doing this run to thinking "What the heck are these other 2 teams doing!?" No matter. My party jumped in and helped clear out their golems. Cue the next set of golems, and one of the alliance Tanks dies to the golem he's tanking, and now I'm beginning to really worry. Said worries were mostly un-needed though interestingly against Math Blaster.

Third Boss: 98% of the battle goes without any major hitches. At least, that I'm aware of. No wipes, but I couldn't help but note that the final phase for Math Blaster was going a bit... slow... on getting him killed. I didn't pay much attention to the phase transition part, but I was certain that everyone escaped the portal just fine.

Final Boss: The majority of the battle goes without any major hitches, but at this point I started paying a bit more attention to the alliance bars, and noted a fair number of deaths on their teams, while ours had only 1 death so far against Yiazmat. (The poor RDM on our team bit it against the rampaging claws) It wasn't until the heart phase was over that things got... interesting, and sad at the same time. At one point as Yiazmat was down to it's last 15% health, our PLD MT bites the bullet. Not sure how, as he had full health, was in Shield Oath, and suddenly dropped to 0 HP in like... 1 second. (Hard to see behind the big boss sometimes, lol) I assume he had ended up standing in one or two puddles of AoE blasts along with a Tank Buster hitting him all at once. (That'll do in even a Tank yo) So who does Yiazmat turn to after our MT dies? It's not another Tank, nor most of the other party members I could think of him turning to.

... He turns to me! The MNK! It dawned on me at that point that I forgot to use Diversion for my MNK opener (I was sure I had clicked that) that I always use when starting a battle, because MNK's can hit really hard once they get moving and all that. But I didn't think much of it because I was still in the green after getting through my MNK opener, meaning our PLD MT had went out of his way to ensure no one would be ripping hate off of him any time soon. Yeah, well, the moment the PLD died, Yiazmat was all over me, confirming that by batting me twice with auto attacks. When it finally fully dawned on me and my FC buddy that we're next in line for being swatted by Yiazmat, said FC buddy jumps away with Elusive Jump. I should have followed suit with the MNK's aggro drop ability, but I instead for some reason thought that being a MNK with not much party utility outside of Brotherhood, and because Yiazmat is already looking at me, I should try to keep him distracted long enough for a Tank on another alliance party to notice that they need to provoke and get Yiazmat's attention on them. So I activate Riddle of Earth, Bloodbath, and heal myself a bit with Second Wind while waiting for that Provoke flash to go off on the boss.

... said Provoke never came, and Yiazmat decides to Tank Buster me. As a MNK, I'll let you take a wild guess how much that hurt.

It was at this point that the whole situation became a "Shake my Head..." situation. Yiazmat continues to go around attacking squishies instead of either of the other two tanks. It takes a few more deaths afterwards for someone in alliance chat (most likely another dead DPS) to point out "Would one of the remaining 2 tanks PLEASE provoke Yiazmat before he cleaves through us all?"

We managed to turn it around and clear it after one of the other alliance tanks finally provokes Yiazmat. No wipes, but it got messy at the end there. I left the duty with very mixed feelings. Left me thinking "Was I honestly doing badly that run? Or was I just having a very bad day?"

To this day, I'm still not entirely sure what to think of that run.

Erhm so, MS roulette today haha. The two tanks did not want to seem to tank, and part of me wonders if they knew they were tanks. They were both new leafs and we all stood at the start for a few good mins with the two SAMs asking them to start nicely. After a little bit of no response, the SCH decides to run out and tanked the entire thing from there on. So good on the scholar lol.

Speak of the devil, I had something similar happen tonight. I queued for duty roulette and our tank wouldn't budge. They seemed to be confused? I'm not sure. Either way, our Arcanist ended up tanking and pulling most of the mobs as aggro bounced back and forth during the course of the entire run. Fun times.

Today it was a good thing that half of the playerbase dont know how to handle correctly the first part of Livia's battle, and that the cutscene that follows is so long. It gave me enough time to reconnect after being disconnected a few seconds before, the game telling me i should wait before being able to use my character again, and me being like "no no nooooooo i dont want to redo a 20+ minutes dps queue and nearly all the dungeon again, let me go baaaaaaaaaack !!!!".

That's how it's supposed to work, if the WAR is too slow with WAR skip the people remaining outside will die, anyone inside will be alive. If the WAR can't even do the first phase mechanics it's better to not force a war skip that will likely fail, just do the mechanic normally.

When you ask a healer to use Stone instead of relentlessly spamming Cure on the tank and they respond with "what kind of a stone?"
