While we head towards version 2.0, we will be looking into implementing more options in the character customization screen. This would include more face painting and tattoo choices. ^_^

Please also add options to be a little plumper...These super skinny muscular characters don't represent the kind of in-game character I want to be...

Hm.... tattoos is cool and all, but i would suggest making this optional to
change / remove at a barber shop or simmilar.
(since it been suggested sveral times before & might be in consideration)

I could see myself regret picking a certain facepaint, hair style and then
later on felt it didnt match up my gear or w/e.

Id also like to see tattoos not just for face, but maybe legs, arms & back aswell.
(even though some might be covered with certain gear)

Tribal style tattoos are cool, might give some characters abit more gothic look to them.

Side Note:
Id like to keep my current haircut in FFXIV 2.0 thou, so please dont fully remove this style! ; ;

Before I got the game I was like:
WOW look at all the customization we can do compared to FFXI
But, when I actually got to making mine, it felt like there was still very little I could do. I didn't find one hairstyle I liked at all. It kinda reminded me of the Sims 3. All the hairstyles sucked :/
I really wish we could have a bit more freedom when it came to this.
So, I am going to agree with you on this.
Not something we need NOW but, it would be nice to have I would think.

Totally with you on the hair. I ended up picking what is one of the most "vanilla" feeling hairstyles because it was the only one I kinda liked. Definitely tons more options than FFXI, but a lot of them are just not enough to make people feel unique.

I would love to see sliders rather than presets. Maybe not with hair (that could be kinda complicated), but with other features. Like moving tatoos/scars around a little bit, eye height and distance apart, stuff that games like Oblivion and Mass Effect let you do a little *too* much. We don't need that much detail in a MMO, but I would *love* to feel like my character face was pretty much guaranteed to be unique.

The current facepaint looks artificial in relation to the rest of the character design. It appears that facepaint has potential to be great, but needs more work. It should look real and less like photoshoped color.

The pervert in me says +9,001 to this. ^///^; Heck, games like PSO2, Saint's Row: The Third, and Soul Calibur IV/V do this, from what I've seen so far...

PSO2's breast system is more fit for a hentai game - it was almost disgusting just how much time they dedicated to that feature in their trailers.

My thoughts on that one? Pretty much this:
