Considering it only does that to emulate Monster Hunter, it's incredibly unlikely unless they do another crossover with Capcom down the road.

It's really not that bad. If you go in with <40k HP (i.e Going it at min 350 with no vit melds/food, yeah, you're going get roasted) you're probably going to have a bad time if you can't dodge. You will just get one shot by lunges/rush as a non tank. Once people's gear levels get a bit higher people won't get 1 shot anymore and it won't be as punishing. Not even talking about unsync here, 43-45k is good enough, you need a buffer for some of the dot damage.
If you look at the DRG group hp they have 47k-50k. None of the avoidable stuff in there will one shot a dps with that much HP unless they get double stun+hit. It's basically just like every other EX fight with a slightly higher awareness check, just that a healer can't carry anymore (including carrying the 2nd healer) if someone repeatedly dies. The 3 death needs to be in there since it seems to enrage slowly. If you took that out you might be able to just raise fest the fight which would make it boring and less threatening even more than 3-4 tank cheese.

I never get these threads, is square putting a gun to your head and making you do this content? Some people enjoy a change of pace, why cry for strict adherence to a stale formula
This is a breath of fresh air.
Just Eureka.
I actually don't mind the Rathalos fight. It's just that I personally find the rewards from it far too underwhelming to warrant doing that fight once, let alone however many times you'd need to get all the stuff.

Is this a troll thread?
If anything they need to make more 4 man content

While I wouldn't like more content like Rath Extreme, it's not due to the fight itself or the "direct challenge" it provides... it's due to what it allows.
The four man extreme system allows you any group comp, which allows folks to single out classes, and than it's designed to also punish the healer job in particular to the point where you're better off "cheesing it" (which in my mind kind of "invalidates" some of the challenge but that's a whole different topic). This is the part that I don't really want to see again, although I'm pretty sure it was done in particular to further emulate Monster Hunter and we won't see such a thing again.
That being said though this fight does promote personal accountability for surviving which is far more refreshing than the constant personal accountability for DPS, and some of the parts of this fight (although I've only watched extreme but hard emulates enough of it for me to have drawn this opinion) are refreshing only because we don't do them in every single dungeon/extreme.

People are doing it with many random comps chill with the day 2 cheese tactic fearmongering. I'd love more 4 man content
Upon more runs after my one clear, yeah this is a monster hard fight. It has old capcom rules and a 3 life system like video games used to do. So I'm enjoying it. But sadly most gamers dont and I'm worried we won't get more content like this. Which will make people complain they dont take risk. Well if they don't this is why. Cause instead of getting good and learning we got a bunch of weak gamers crying for nerfs everytime something hits them abit hard, people wanting crap given to them without skill and just the weakest crap I've seen as a gamer. What did people do in arcades when games were purposely hard and impossible? Look I'm not trying to sound toxic op but I think the fight isnt that bad. Plus it's only 2 days old. I only got one clear so I feel you. But I dunno. Feels like threads like this are why se plays it safe cause nerf nerf nerf the boss hit me. :c

Well it is a collab event so it best reflects what you'd encounter on MHW, rather than XIV, so the probability of seeing similar fights is near to nought. Besides you should welcome this content with open arms, it's fun, it's different, and to some it's relatively challenging as I'm not familiar with the combat of MHW.
Albeit, as annoying as this fight is to do on my caster at minimum iLv as a caster, I still love the fight. Haven't cleared yet though but it's a refreshing encounter. If you're struggling, then your best bet is to stay centre of his hitbox, you avoid everything minus the rush and burning recoil. Second phase just stand to his flank. If he faces to your direction, move to flank accordingly, again, you avoid almost every mechanic he throws in that phase.
Sure, failing the mechanics can be a little punishing, but they aren't exactly professor-level mechanics. Just read his moment, and practice until it sinks into your muscle memory. Content has barely been out a few days.
