Why shouldn't it be available to female characters? Why can't gear just be gender neutral in the first place? You're simply being petty due to the current restrictions SE has placed.
...because the developers have proven time and time again that when non combat gear is designed to be unisex it is often made to be very feminine or androgynous. Not everything needs to be available to everybody and it'd be great if male characters could be thrown the occasional bone every now and then.
Honestly, this whole "Why can't all gear be gender neutral" thing has me baffled. In previous single player games, when certain characters were given the costumes of past characters, such as what they do in the Tales series as fanservice, no one ever complained that Alvin was the only character allowed to wear Kratos's angel costume from Symphonia and not any of the girls, let alone THE only male character to have that costume period.
I'm just....I don't get it. If they want something just for guys; great, have at it. If they want something just for the gals; okay, splendid. If they want something for both genders; great, double bonus.
I'm not sure what pettiness has to do with it and why we can't just accept that we don't need to have everything just because it's there.
Because locking character customization and design behind gender locks is just silly. There's no reason NOT to unlock everything, as long as they start designing some male-catered clothes along with it.
More is lost by locking stuff behind character gender than is gained by unlocking.

All races and ganders should have a chance to wear everything. Same with glamours. Why not set it to level 1 All when you place them into your glamour dresser?
Lol, finally get a MSE and the female chr's cant take it... Now you guys know how us Male chr's feel. But I agree, just make all gear for all genders. I want to wear the wedding dress like Hildy did!
Being new to the forum, I feel like I've stepped onto a partisan issue here. My concern stems from the lack of Samurai-like appearance for the Samurai class. Almost all of it is just generic monk stuff. I couldn't care less about exclusives, if anything, they seem to be a shallow way to fuel the Fanta demand.

You have. The glamour disparity that skews in favor of female characters, both in quantity and quality, is a longstanding hot topic around these parts. The crafted glamour for guys just released is a fantastic example because it was only announced after a lot of backlash they received for 4.3 getting only a female-exclusive craftable set, for instance.
My post was tongue-in-cheek. I totally support removing gender restrictions. lol sorry if it seemed like I was accusing you of something.Being new to the forum, I feel like I've stepped onto a partisan issue here.
