Holding mentors accountable?

mentors should know rotations for all jobs, know every mechanic in every mentor roulette duty and they should carry players through content while making no comments about it. If these same people looked at the mentor requirements, they would see the only duty of a mentor is to not insult or harass players.

You forget that mentors are ALSO players. Mentors shouldn't have to carry players through content (unless said players are new and need actual help). Mentors can make comments about it cause well...idk...their players? The only requirements for being mentor is having at least 1 of each role in the "Trinity" at max level and having a specific number of dungeons/trials done. And really, the mentors only need to do the dungeon/trial ONCE to qualify. That means, that they THEMSELVES can be carried by other players who may or may not be mentors and they would've fulfilled those requirements. This also means that the players who become mentors don't need to know all the mechanics of fights, and they can have their jobs at max level and not know a damn thing about their rotations (sad and odd as that sounds).


Unfortunately, mentors have the right to insult or harass players as well, which sucks hence why blisting/reporting them still helps. Just as any player who insults/harasses other players do, wither they are mentors or just regular players without the sexy gold crown.





You and others who moan about this need to keep in mind that mentors, as I have stated are also PLAYERS, who also play the game, learn how to do things like mechanics, troll and insult people and also pay their sub fee. Holding mentors to a higher standard is like trying to hold "Comedians" to a higher standard than the "US President". It's dumb and it's pointless. So unless SE changes the requirements to becoming a Mentor (which they obviously aren't) then we are stuck with what the mentor system is now, and the bad mentors this system brings along with it.
