For example I dont consider Ifrit fight content or something to do for me because I have no interest in it. I dont want the weapons, I dont really like the look of them so I'd never use them, and the fight is so mundane now. So its not enjoyable content to me, its just there.

Achievements are not things you can do for fun, unless you enjoy that stuff, you wont have fun spending the next couple months killing mobs just so you can say you have the 200k kill achievement. Not to mention a lot of people have already done them...

Also yes the skills are changing, but not by loads, a lot of existing skills are still there, just renamed differently. So we now have less skills, and even less of them will be different so it wont take long to learn 4-5 new skills per class. I only care about conjurer so thats like 1 day of content to me.

There is usually "something for everyone" in an mmo, but not right now. Not blaming SE though, they have things to do and all the changes I welcome and should be in, im not the one really complaining XD just you cant say there are lots of things to do and people shouldn't be close minded when you wouldn't pay to go see a film at the cinema you know you wont like.

    hi Viion,

You've told us alot of things you think arent content, but what would be content to you?

Also, how is ifrit mundane, when you haven't even beaten him?

I shouted for mages for a party for three hours last night. SE needs to change the drop rate.

Content! (Because it seems if I'm logged on I'm experiencing content.

Let's not forget the other big thing to do this patch - something that has to be done before taking on Good King Moggle Mog XII.

Re-learn how to play your class.

    Start with completing these!

    After that move on to...
    28 / 40 NMS SLAYED
    17 / 42 FACTIONS COMPLETE

    Then go find
23 / 24 CAMPS (missing one long lost camp!)
    20 / 62 AETHERYTE GATES (and a pile of gates I see)

That will keep you going for a while if you need things to do!

I think its funny how people always judge things they never did, or couldnt experience yet.

How is the "Trophy System" not Content, if you actually get Rewards? So According to some People Content, which takes Time and gives you Rewards and may be difficult are not Content? What is Content then? Staying in Town and talking about Nonsense and how you dont do Content, because you dont like it?

1.20 and the other upcoming Patches have a LOT Content!

If you like it or not doesnt matter at all, it is still Content!

This example is always interesting and comes up relatively often. If doing any of the things you've mentioned held value for the person in whose face you're throwing them, they would have done them. The gates and camps are not content, as a side note. That's like saying commuting to work is content in my day. It's incidental to some other thing I'm doing. In other words it's a means to an end, not an end in itself. If I go to some camps on the way to a quest, great. If I never visited that place before, it's because there is no reason to go there or pass through there.

It's an interesting issue because when people on these forums say they have nothing to do, what they really mean is there is nothing left for them to do that they want to do. Is the post itself a form of trolling? I don't know with certainty because the person might be genuinely asking what else is there for them to potentially do in the upcoming patch. I tend not to just assume people are trolling because it's a bit of a jaded way to approach everything, despite the fact that it seems to be the norm here. That being said responding to them by stating all the things they clearly didn't already do for whatever reason isn't an answer. That form of reply is definitely trolling the OP and contributes nothing. You're intentionally suggesting a bunch of ridiculous things just to bait the person and to prove in a back handed manner that "see! you haven't done everything! so there!"... That's just silly.

Maybe it's the OP's fault for not clearly articulating that he or she has done all the things they wanted to do in the game and are now awaiting some new choices they haven't yet either explored and done or passed on instead of phrasing it as "There is nothing left to do". But it certainly doesn't make anything better by replying that way.

Exploring the vast Eorzea isn't content? I guess traveling the globe isn't relevant IRL either for that matter to you.

The first thing I look for when I feel am bored of the "popular" content such as Ifrit, is go take a look at my own list and see what I have not done. From there I decide hmm, which sounds more enticing today. I ask if I'd rather go alone, or bring along a couple people form my our LS. Perhaps I will ask if they need anything done, and go help them instead because adventuring with others is a lot more fun than running around alone to me. Maybe I don't even want to do something on my list and go take out a high Level Molboro in the Black Shroud. Some of these offer physical reward, some to not. Sometimes it is about personal challenge and personal gratification and not about the gil/exp/equipment/material reward. Think outside the box for a change, there is a an entire world out there.

SE has provided the world to us to explore, expecting them to hold my hand and guide my day to day actions seems pretty silly in my opinion. Forgive me then for not articulating in novella form when I post these types of responses. I actually take into consideration that the OP might have done the obvious things they enjoy, but are looking for more enjoyment. The point I am making goes well beyond the simple "see! you haven't done everything! so there." If I wrote a more than a paragraph, would most people even take the time to read it? If I simply said "think outside the box," would that please you more as a response? Or did you peg me as a troll for attempting to provide something tangible for the OP in the form of a checklist instead of a well written response?

Can we move on now and continue helping the OP find meaningful things to do instead of attacking specific responses, and each other for that matter?

Heheh... pardon my wrong usage of words there, I meant... hrm... You know, that word that describes someone who... TOHELLTHISSH*-
I'm just saying there'll be a lot of things to do in the future, and to not only aim about having the best loots or beat things first than anyone. My point is to not limit yourselves to profit and progress because that limits the fun. We can do a lot better with our imagination than we think. Content is there, and if it gets boring let's make it fun!
Why Arenas in WoW can be boring even if you always win? Because it's the
    Same
    F*cking
    Thing
Players can make it fun by adding their spice in the combats, and even if they lose, they'll win by their performance and for what they've done, just throwing an example out there =)
