    Satisfaction survey from SE, why?

    I woke up about an hour ago, checked my email for anything important and I find a satisfaction survey from SE. It states I contacted customer support recently.

    The problem being I have never contacted them. The most I've done as far as contacting someone from SE is reporting extremely rude people in the game. Other than that nothing.

    Anyone know why exactly i received this email? Did anyone else randomly receive one?

    Reporting someone in-game is a form of customer service. If it happened recently, they're asking about that.

    That just makes me even more confused and suspicious. This isn't the first time I report someone. I've done it dozens of times since I started playing, this is the only time I've received a survey for a report out of at least 20 or more. This makes no sense. Also the survey is regarding speaking with an "agent" and the service provided. In call centers the employees are generally referred to as Agents.

    The entire survey is regarding a phone call conversation.

    I never got a mail like this for filing in-game reports as far as I can recall, so it does seem a bit unusual.

    Well they aren't going to send a Satisfaction Survey for every single report a player makes, otherwise it just turns in to unnecessary spam. I mean if you feel the survey is a mistake you can just ignore it, but I would give it some time to fill out.

    I can't fill out any of the fields because it's asking for my experience with the agent, the explanation and so on. The problem is there NEVER was any interaction with me and any agent.

    I get the feeling some donkey called claiming to be, gave them my email and tried to get access to my account, I still have my account so obviously it didn't go over too well, and they sent me the survey anyway.

    I see, hmm have you received any survey emails in the past before this one? Do the formats of the email and the address it came from match up at all?

    It could just be a case of mistaken identity, I mean when you contact SE on their site it asks to confirm the email to be contacted on, perhaps someone made a slight mistake, who knows. I'd say just leave it be if you are not sure, or save it incase it is dodgy and you can report it at a later time.

    You're way too suspicious. The fact that they're referred to as an "agent" by the survey does not imply it was a phone conversation. It's just a standard survey randomly sent after a player contacts customer support in some fashion and other game companies handle them that way as well.

    Most of them I got them after sending a player report and being contacted by a GM.

    Not from SE. Only from a different game i play. And yes, I checked it multiple times, it is SE. As for the slight mistake, my email is pretty damn random so I doubt you can make a mistake bad enough to end up with my email.

    My main concern is that someone called SE claiming to be me, gave them my email, couldn't give any other information so they didn't remove my security so they can take my account. If this happened once, it can happen again, and they made end up with a newly hired person that DOES actually give away my account to someone else.
