Guessing Derplander's job next expansion.

i skipped some of the comment so sorry if my point is already pointed out by other people x_x

My biggest guess for WoL's next job are some Isgardian origin jobs (Mch, Drk, Ast) or Acanist and its brances and 1 New classes

2.x trailer ( End of era )'s WoL = WAR.
WAR first started as Marauder, and its started in Limsa
3.x trailer's WoL = DRG
DRG first started as Lancer, and its started in Gridania
4.x trailer's WoL = MNK and SAM
Both of the class started in Ul'dah

and thats mean only Ishgard that its jobs havent appear in any trailer
or they decided to ignore Ishgard and take one another class that started in Limsa, wich mean arcanist :x

for 4.x cases, both the classes are the represent of the new region.
Monk for Gyr abania (Ala mhigo) and SAM for Yanxia (Doma)

if 5.x also follow that route,
we got 1 'old' job that represent 1 region (probably MCH with its high tech Garlemard)
and 1 'new' job that represent 1 other new region (Dancer with Thavnair plz)

But, these are places he went as friend. Will he be a friend of Garlemald by 5.0?

He's already a friend of the Garleans! Just look how they throw their imposing metal doors wide open for the WoL at every Castrum...

But seriously, though, the storyline is already pointing to us having at least some allies in Garlemand. Even if we're not a friend of the nation as a whole, there are signs of civil unrest and Garlemand could be looking at another civil war. It wouldn't be out of line for the Alliance to back the side opposed to the current regime's policy of expansionism - and when the Alliance gets serious about something, they send the WoL...

On the other hand, if the non-expansionist faction of the civil war were to openly ally with the Alliance, that would give the regime a powerful propaganda tool to use against them which could sway a lot of the citizenry in their favor. "You see? Their faction are puppets of the enemies of Garlemand, sent to destabilize our great nation!" They wouldn't be entirely wrong, either.

Or, the plotline could take another tack entirely. The Ascians could do something so incredibly outrageous that the Godzilla Threshold is invoked and Varis personally invites the WoL to come in and help clean up the mess. There's a lot of possible plotlines that could believably get the WoL onto Garlean turf in friendly company. (Even if that "friendliness" involves a lot of clenched teeth.)

Something to keep in mind is that, assuming they follow Stormblood's precedent and not Heavensward's, the new Jobs (whatever they may be) will be available outside the region it's "native" to and at a level below what's necessary to enter 5.0. DRG was picked up before entering Ishgard, and both SAM and MNK are picked up well before reaching Doma / Gyr Abania (SAM is technically Hingan flavor as well, but I digress).

... so something like Cid giving you a Gunblader Soul Crystal and mentoring you for a bit, then moving onto Lucia, then Gaius when we reach the 5.0 areas... isn't too farfetched, I don't think.

I have to wonder how they’ll manage “entry to new job” quests for 4.0. Going from the current pattern, they would start at Lv60, which is a very high target for a quest made available in the starter cities.

I wonder if they could have some kind of ‘early entry’ to the job, long before the actual quests start - just a very bare-bones opportunity for you to acquire the weapon and start using it, perhaps without a soulstone yet (so basically class/job, possibly without the name change). So maybe a Lv30 quest to receive the weapon and unlock the job, but then the next quest after that is Lv60, and actually starts the story.

If they turn out to be members of the Populares faction, sure. But last I checked the Garlean Consul(s) in Kugane had bath water delivered to them so they didn't have to be (seen) nude with their enemies and other lesser beings who inhabit the town, so... my money's not on that.

Yoshi P talked about having a FF14 original Job for one of the next ones so I would place money on that being a Derplander one if it does exist. Since we are going to Garlemald, A garlean style Job makes a lot of sense. With the style of armor they favour, maybe a tank class. A gunblade is an obvious weapon but personally I kind of hope it is something like a Gunhammer instead. We have a lot of bladed classes in the game, including no less than 3 sword wielding jobs and a bit more variety would be nice.

I actually wouldn't mind the next batch of Jobs being all magitek themed/based, with the tank either having a Gunblade or Gun Hammer
