I doubt the focused job would be new. The focused job is usually in the opening and that would spoil the surprise.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
Not sure why you would hate on range jobs. Range jobs can have very good cinematics especially if they are fighting Garlean mechs that can fly. Turret shooting and the WoL shooting and the Turret with a big explosion to finish something off, that would look real nice.
I feel the same way about books but if i were to draw it up, there would be a whole lot of Dreadwyrm Trance and very little book. i think it's less likely than say MCH but i wouldn't say it's impossible. SMN is more probable than any healer class like was said above.Really. Out of all the classes I could see SE having Derplander ever become, SMN/SCH is the last one on my list. I main it, but even I'm not blind that books make for an underwhelming weapon for the guy who is the face of the game to wield. Just about every weapon in the game looks more badass then the SMN/SCH weapon.

Yes, but that was only after SAM was revealed. Also, it doesn't seem like the Samurai is "our" WoL/Derplander/Meteor, whatever you wanna call him. He doesn't seem to have the WoL's scar over his right eye. Now it might of just been an oversight since SE was showcasing the new hair, but it's not without merit. Also the SAM thing seems more like a marketing ploy, since it was a very requested job. Plus we've been in Doma the last 2 patches.

Samurai Derplander has the scar.

I mean, in the patch trailers and stuff the Samurai is in place of the player character during the Doma sections (with Monk being in the Ala Mhigo sections), so I think it's safe to say they're the same person.Yes, but that was only after SAM was revealed. Do something that hasn't really been done (in popular media at least), SE. Give us a badass healer or archer. It will turn a lot of heads.
"Consider this old adage: When a Bard sings alone in a desert, and no one is around to hear him... Is he truly singing?"

I think the region of Ilsabard will be show first, so we will see a (Blue Mage) job (tank) from here.
Then it will be the region of Thavnair with probably the Dancer job (healer) showed next.
And for the final Fan Fest, a surprise : a DPS will be shown.
it would be cool if he can incarnate a healer for a change, so Dancer.

You would just get people complaining that they're pushing the idea of healer DPS (which is a good thing mind you).
Or they wouldn't show him actually killing anything and just healing is not exactly the type of action they tend to show.
Archer could work, but considering where the story is going, Machinist seems to be the more natural conclusion. I understand he's been Melee this whole time but I don't think that's an indication of much.
Heck for all we know, we could be going to two different places again and there'll be some other themed job he can take up that we just can't account for (in before blue mage)
