I'd much rather them just remove more useless role action skills like eye4eye ultimatum exc or force u to take the more required role action skills like rampart or esuna and give u a slot or 2 to pick between the niche skills, I guess just giving everyone all the role actions is a fix, I looked through all my 70s and it looks like pld is the only one that literally can't fit everything I'd take, but being able to take anticipation/awareness/reprisal on warrior is great and not having to macro protect on and off is nice too. I'm ok with 10slots for now I guess, but it can easily become a mess if they don't truly fix it later.
And even then, you don't need to bind all of the usable ones either. There is no reason to keep Stun bound to something accessible if you are not going to use it anyway. Same goes for Silence, Reprisal, Addle, for example. You only bind the skills you need for the given content.Didn’t the developers say that this is a temporary solution to the role skills problem, and that they plan to work out something better in the future? Just that they don’t have the time/resources for it right now?
Even with 10 slots, you don’t have to take all 10 skills. There’s still skills in there that are more or less useless in the majority of content for all roles.
If I went inside expert with DRG, I would slot Second Wind, Diversion, Invigorate, Bloodbath and Goad to easily accessible buttons at all times. That's 5. Feint has no value in a dungeon, Crutch almost never works anyway, Arm's Length only deserves a spot if the fight has nullable knockback/draw-ins, Leg Sweep is also situational and tank most likely handles a stun anyway and True North, given its long CD, works best only if the fight forces you to miss positionals (it's not a remedy against stupid tanks spinning everything), at which point it does go to an easier to access button.
You have Divine Benison, which is better. Stoneskin had horrendous MP cost and you wouldn't use it more often than Benison anyway.

Hey, while we're almost, kinda, sorta on the topic of button bloat reversion, can we Bards have Flaming Arrow back please? Or we Whm have back Stoneskin (especially after the Whm mobs in the early 90s of HoH actually have it)?

it seems like an odd choice, why not just make role actions always turned on if your gonna have 10 spots to pick from 10 skills?
Does this mean I'm getting leeches back? No? mk...
All it means is less swapping. That's about it.
I already had all these things hotbar'd... lol
But many of the abilities I only ever used in PotD solo attempts. Break and Drain for instance.
This is actually something I've wanted for awhile. As there is always at least one ability I wish I had access to in most situations. So honestly, 1 or 2 extra slots would have been enough, but I'm fine with all of them being available too.
Now I can confidently demand that the melee DPS Goad me! And I no longer have to /facepalm when I see BRDs using Peloton.
i dislike it, as a DRK i dont have space for more skills but on the other hand i will have a good use of awarenes and anticipation, its just to much, as a gamepad player having to use 2 or more extra skills on any job i already have full will complicate my life a lot, i guess i can use the new double tap R/L2 shorcut for this but it will be pretty anoying, role skills should die already.
