    Didn’t the developers say that this is a temporary solution to the role skills problem, and that they plan to work out something better in the future? Just that they don’t have the time/resources for it right now?

    Even with 10 slots, you don’t have to take all 10 skills. There’s still skills in there that are more or less useless in the majority of content for all roles.

    I'd hate to say this, but, knowing SE, it might be as temporary as the next expansion launch, or else forgotten until a year later when enough people ask about it in Q&A that's it's addressed in another half-assed measure.

    Okay, fair enough. But even still, the insistence that you have to take all 10 abilities is silly.

    So basically, reverting the button bloat they toned out at SB release? That was a fruitful change

    I don't know about you, but 3, 5 or 10 role action slots allowed, all my skill already have a button dedicated for them that don't move from my hotbars.

    And even then, you don't need to bind all of the usable ones either. There is no reason to keep Stun bound to something accessible if you are not going to use it anyway. Same goes for Silence, Reprisal, Addle, for example. You only bind the skills you need for the given content.

    If I went inside expert with DRG, I would slot Second Wind, Diversion, Invigorate, Bloodbath and Goad to easily accessible buttons at all times. That's 5. Feint has no value in a dungeon, Crutch almost never works anyway, Arm's Length only deserves a spot if the fight has nullable knockback/draw-ins, Leg Sweep is also situational and tank most likely handles a stun anyway and True North, given its long CD, works best only if the fight forces you to miss positionals (it's not a remedy against stupid tanks spinning everything), at which point it does go to an easier to access button.

    Stoneskin II across the full party before a pull and having it last for a few minutes if need be. Reapplying Stoneskin on multiple party members before raidwide damage, whether by ARR numbers when it blocked 20% of max HP or the HW rate of 10% (though that point was pretty crap), and not waiting 24-30 seconds for a single instant cast or effect that was only 15 seconds. MP management not really being a problem unless you're over-using certain abilities when you don't need to. Yes, Benison is nice on the go for single target mitigation, but it would be nice to mitigate more people before a fight begins or raid damage goes out, again.

    Also again, at least two mobs (including that Whm mob I spoke of earlier) in HoH, current content, pour salt in our half-healed wounds by casting Stoneskin. At that point Yoshi is just hanging the ability over our heads and saying "Hey, remember this ability? You want it? Please look forward to it?"

    I mean, there are Archer NPCs that still use Hawk’s Eye. But I doubt they’d ever give us back an ability that would give us the equivalent of almost 2 Grade 1 Infusions in DEX gain. Because then people would just complain about BRD being “OP”. I mean, I wouldn’t complain, but...

    Eh... I half agree. I liked the dps boost of Hawk's Eye, sure, but the accuracy boost was nice too. It would have been good to still have, such as against the Accuracy Down debuff* some mobs have or the Blind effect in PotD/HoH. Necessary? No. But certainly nice.

    * That's to say nothing of Warden's Paeon, and whether or not it was on cooldown to remove such an affliction.
