    4.4: Role Action slots increased to 10. Thoughts?

    It seems to me that the developers are acknowledging that there are issues with the role actions and this is the quick band-aid fix for it. I hope they can come up with a better long term solution.

    As a healer, now I can put Break on my hotbar and never use it. /s

    Also, so much for reducing button bloat.

    Edit because this has been necro'd: I'm not complaining, I'm just pointing out how silly it is that so many abilities were pruned for Role actions in the name of reducing button bloat from classes, then restrict those available to five and then they give them all out. Despite the fact that things like Provoke and Esuna shouldn't be optional buttons to begin with. They're basically mandatory. As a healer, there have been times where I wish I'd had more than 5 abilities and I'm glad for the change.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
