[dev1251] Item search like this is useless

It's a step in the right direction. They promised this for 1.20, but parts aren't going to make the deadline and are still being worked out. Granted, until then I will continue going to the retainer directly as usual, but it is getting there. Also, it isn't really a tax to use it, it's more a convenience fee.

What's the point of being able to buy from the Item search list if I have no idea of what I am buying? I could end up buying an overpriced NQ + pay taxes on top!!! So until this is fixed, we still have to go find the retainer...


Please SE make sure you don't start charging before this is implemented. This was meant to be one of stars of the patch, and once again you push the important things back.

helps me out greatly if i'm looking for NQ, so not entirely useless.
5% surcharge with max 4k, gil is incredibly easy to obtain in the game

Also, for those commenting on the buyer tax, please use the other thread for that. This thread is solely about the (in)ability to view item details through item search.

Yep, the system will be pretty much useless if you're looking for HQ items. I wouldn't dare buy a item for 1.000.003 gil without checking the actual retainer first.

Unless you aren't concerned with with HQ. When I am looking for grinding material, I could care less about HQ mats. I just want to get the bulk materials so I can get to grinding. Hardly useless for me. Seriously, making a mountain out of a molehill. The rest of the functions is supposed to be in before 1.21. Just wait until then to use it if it bothers you that much.
