helps me out greatly if i'm looking for NQ, so not entirely useless."Verifying item quality (whether HQ or NQ) and details regarding materia-crafted items through the Item Search is not currently possible, but we plan to alleviate this some time after patch 1.20b."
What's the point of being able to buy from the Item search list if I have no idea of what I am buying? I could end up buying an overpriced NQ + pay taxes on top!!! So until this is fixed, we still have to go find the retainer...
Please SE make sure you don't start charging before this is implemented. This was meant to be one of stars of the patch, and once again you push the important things back.
/sigh
5% surcharge with max 4k, gil is incredibly easy to obtain in the game
you heard, wait until 1.20b. u can still use the old method
Cut them some slack. They can't implement the damn system yet.
If you're opposed to using it, just keep doing it the way you were before.
Usually I rather dislike your opinions, this one however I completely approve. I actually LIKE what they have done here, and HQ viewing is still part of 1.20, so its not like we will have to wait until March or something like that.
If I were to have 1 critique, I would have put the surcharge on purchases above a certain threshold in order to help players acquiring low level gear, meanwhile taxing those who make millions of gil before the rewards were balanced. This would be a permanent way to keep those gillionaires paying back into the system.
I'm willing to guess those stating "will not pay now" were already not planning to pay, and creating excuses to justify themselves.
Remember, this is a fundamental patch fixing underlying systems. Once they are in, they can add features like HQ / Materia search without too much trouble.
Yep, the system will be pretty much useless if you're looking for HQ items. I wouldn't dare buy a item for 1.000.003 gil without checking the actual retainer first.
I'll be selling everything with 3 at the end when this patch comes out.
Unless you aren't concerned with with HQ. When I am looking for grinding material, I could care less about HQ mats. I just want to get the bulk materials so I can get to grinding. Hardly useless for me. Seriously, making a mountain out of a molehill. The rest of the functions is supposed to be in before 1.21. Just wait until then to use it if it bothers you that much. You are agreeing with my point then, item search is useless.
Correct. If you're looking for iron ingots to grind on, you win. I concede 5% usefulness. And bear in mind finding grind items in the past was also relatively fast since you could often find them stacked in the same retainer... so I don't think things have improved that much for you. Now try finding a specific gear+materia comboUnless you aren't concerned with with HQ. When I am looking for grinding material, I could care less about HQ mats. You kids and your silly complaints. How dare SE give us 75% of the feature this patch! Must complain about not getting the other 25%... seriously SE use that time machine wormhole device to slow down time and get more work done so we can have HQ/NQ details on the search feature.
I'd bet you all of Gaths' 1 gil that if they said "we are going to hold off releasing this until its 100% complete" you kids would b*tch and moan about that too.
Even though you said "item search like this is useless" I bet you still will use it... stupidity reigns supreme on these forums (well, all forums but yeah you)
Rems' 1 Gath is worth more than your 1 Gath.
