    We didn't have that option because our fan fest last year had that option and sold out before the general sale so there was no point. They admitted to underestimating demand and that's really the only issue there was, and they mentioned if there's another they will plan accordingly. There's nothing they can do for this fan fest that will get you a ticket.

    The only thing I'd like to see from SE at this point is a refund option that would last until July 31st. A number of ticket scalpers who aren't cashing out or (mostly) those who have decided they would rather attend something with all their friends will be wanting a way out. Once the deadline is over they could offer a wave of the refund tickets (still, to active players, or something, even a lottery system is fine) in August as a final chance for those who are still holding out. I doubt they rented out the full capacity of the Rio and the extra space is now probably rented out to other groups so there's nothing to be done about that either.

    Super awesome cherries are advertised, and they are super cheap. But, of course, there is a contingent/amount of it. It's being sold out within 4 hours. People at 13:00 (or 1 PM as you would say) come and complain. They want me to apologize for that (which I do not xD Who am I to fake sorrow?) but in the end, the money is in the cash registers. From how many customers does not matter (e.g. 1 person buying all the cherries) or anything else does not matter, because it was in fact there to be bought. So my company can put the blame off of them becasuse they did not breach any customer laws (the German ones can be stupid as heck!), the cherries were there and we got the money.

    The 500 other people are angry, but what is going to happen? Nothing. They will talk shit to me or to my company and next day they will be back anyways, so are you people here. You will stay subscribed, you will be trying to get the next tickets - maybe even harder or to a higher price - and in the end, nothing changes.

    I strongly recommend you all in here to calm down a lot. Not because it is not a utter garbage handling, but you will just lose precious time of your lives by frowning over something you can't or never could change. An apology would probably be just more gas into the fire that is slowly dying out. But have you ever seen a company in the past 5 years that was really and truly sorry about anything they failed at? The times when I've gotten something for free was in, ugh, MapleStory. Over 11 years ago...

    Electronic Arts and nVidia, even arenaNet (GuildWars2) had PR debacles in the past, and none of those companies are in a bad spot nowadays. They forgot who fules their company, but also customers seem to be too addicted to really vote with their wallet.

    can this thread be locked? It just feels like this thing has reached its conclusion now that we heard the final truth during the live letter, and the only purpose in continuing this thread is for the sake of people venting or perhaps suggesting what may be done about it in the future and I'm sure it is inevitable that such a thread will pop up after the announcement of the next fan fest.

    Let people vent. This was a big problem and a lot of people already had plans made before everything came crashing down.

    Given the number of threads on these forums with people raging about things that have upset them, were done badly, or just won't be changed, I'm not quite sure why this one out of all of them has you asking for it to be locked. Threads don't get locked unless they're against ToS, anyway.

    Let people vent. If you don't want to read the thread, stop clicking on it. Problem solved.

    Please look forward to it... in 2 years. What bothers me the most how they thought demand would not change in 2 years. What company thinks that? Do they really not know how many subscribers they have? Huge fail in planning. I'm sure nothing will change next time.
