MHW's event starts 8/2 for PS4 and will be permanently available for PC when the game launches on 8/9. XIV's event launches on 8/7.
To clarify, I'm assuming to receive the XIV rewards, you have to defeat Rathalos in XIV - not also own/play MHW. Is that correct?

MHW looks cool, but I don't think I could hang with killing all the poor creatures just doing their thing. :X
