Could also be that they aren't really considering a single fight (Omega) as a full tier? I feel like they said 4.4 would be the last tier. Or they could do 5 fights over 4. While it would be nice for something not as predictable as VII (don't get me wrong, good series but they're milking it dry at this point), everything sort of points to it being such. I'd rather see FFX, honestly, but I don't think they'll go FFV > FFVI > FFX.

They could completely troll and go with FFXIII.

So I’m hoping they don’t do the predictable thing. To be fair given I never played 13 that might be an interesting one for me ^^

I’d have to look up the interview where Yoshida discussed it to confirm either scenario. It would give it a bit of a different flare to have either 5 floors (since most tiers have 4) or the regular 4 floors with Omega being some sort of “superboss” as a 5th fight in 4.5. Either would be pretty cool, I think.

But I have to agree with you about FFVII. On one hand, I would be excited to see the bosses incorporated into FFXIV and be able to fight them on my character with FFXIV’s battle system and graphics, but on the other hand, FFVII has been milked so much that I wouldn’t complain about a skip to FFVIII or FFIX (or FFX, but I don’t think that would happen sadly :c). With FFXIII, I wouldn’t really care about that either, but I know people get up in arms over how it was also dragged on for longer than it should have been, and the fact that its event showed up in FFXIV already multiple times. So I was making the comment about it partially in jest. ;p

I should probably finish FFXIII proper one day (I’d like to), but I’ve been consumed with too many other things. And right now I’m replaying FFX (again), so no time to jump into FFXIII. I tend to prefer playing one game at a time so I can fully enjoy it.

1) A 5th Floor

2) Include more FF, not only one like deltascape/sigmascape, for example FFX / FFVII / FFXV

3) Omega is not the last fight, maybe we will need to beat alpha in the final floor

4) More difficult tier ( Yet I dont believe they will make gordias/midas difficulty tier )

Am I the only one hoping we'll get some kind of battle based on Midgardsormr at his prime? That would be pretty epic, I think.

Hmm, I can't remember if it was here or fc chat or reddit maybe but I recall someone suggesting if we do get FF7, making Sephiroth the final battle O12 and having him overpower Omega (potentially with jenova) we come out on top (aiding Omega essentially) and recognises us as the top of the food chain basically. Then once finished we have a separate trial to face him down in what would essentially be an O13. it wouldn't be accessible via Trial DF or Roulette as it would be placed under Raid.

I can't really see that happening, especially as Omega can easily delete us if there's no interference.

They fooled you all, for last part of Omega, they going downward to FF4, Elemental Fiends, Golbez, Zeromus, Omega

I'm expecting a recreation of Midgardsorm as it is the only foe that manage to damage Omega since she has been created.
And Omega as the final fight. At this point not fighting her would be a big disapointement.
I'd like them to stop with fan service and go back to the lore of Omega.
Fights are well designed but the lore behind is a cheap way to throw fan service at our face, and I find that raid really underwhelming due to this.
There could have been far more great ways to make an epic chase against omega in the dephts of earth (even if it may sounds a bit like the coils).
To be honest, I lost hope for the lore of this raid when they filled the huge gap in the ground with that slimy pink goo. We went from a frightening scar to a ghostbuster like slime.
That's only my small opinion, but, I'd like them to stop with the "tests" and somehow break out of that scheme to have us fight omega in her rift.
Like fighting her screens, the big tower with eye, and finally the real omega.
Still I would enjoy seeing some FF bad guys too, but ... well... I'm a bit bored of this fan service, because i found this raid to lack identity and cohesion... Witch make it hard for me to really be into it.
