Tickets are all gone for fan fest

I don't have a horse in this race but it's baffling that from what I understand, the tickets were just dropped in one go? Most festivals/events stagger tickets over multiple days and time slots.

Not really? Most concerts/music festivals will only do multiple waves if the first one doesn’t eat the whole pool. Ive seen many sell out with the fanclub/sponsor priority or presale. With the exception of SDCC (who gives 1 small priority wave to previous attendees), most conventions I’ve been to are similar, one continuous sale till they're all gone.

I wonder now how the atmosphere will be at this event in Las Vegas with usual groups of friends not all being able to grab tickets and also the issue with scalpers now holding void tickets.

For every angry person who didn't get in there will likely be someone happy they get to enjoy the event. Its the nature of limited events.

Make your own private/FC irl gathering if they are that important. Much easier with travel planning, money, hotel bookings, emotional bonds. The best part you dont need go buy a ticket ! What bunch of shitty excuses again.

Also, the bit about not needing to go buy a ticket is kind of a moot point, as the ticket (while arguably the most important aspect) is likely the least-expensive item ($150) required to host a gathering with friends when you weigh it against expenses like Travel and Lodging (Airplane / Train / Car / Gas / Hotel) and the like.

I hope you had fun on every fanfest you have been too and too bad you didnt get a ticket. But there will be people in your place at the fanfest and having fun. You guys didnt get a ticket, deal with it and better luck next time.

People want a formal response. If people can't go, that's fine. But at the very least, tell them WHY.

What would a formal response say that more or less does equates to tickets sold out quicker than we anticipated. Sure they could mention the issue with the verification code, but how much diffident would that repose be from the one the Mod gave us, or what would it change? This straight up comes down to some were lucky others were not, at the core that is how con tickets are.

Yeah no... people do not trust that we WILL get a complete investigation OR a more detailed statement than we got back on page 11. Which was paltry. The reason people are continuing to post and be angry is because we don't trust we'll get ANYTHING at this point... and that's not really acceptable. You guys realize Bayohne isn't just a forum moderator and is literally the guy that stands next to Yoshi P on stage at FanFest, right? It's not some low level employee giving a vague statement like you're all insinuating, it's the NA community head saying they already investigated the few people that could get in without an access code and everything was kosher. The only other response they could give is how many tickets were sold, at which people would just rage that it was too few.

I'm also curious as to whether or not there was anything in any of the fine print that stated that purchasers had to have codes, or that the circumvention of the queue would result in ticket revocation?

If there wasn't, and the money is real and they get paid - even if this was a really crappy thing to have happen, can they do anything about it? I feel like there could be a legal issue if they cancel tickets at all, if there's nothing ahead of time stating that they have the right. Especially if they can't verify the use of botting programs? We already see the issues (excuses?) with bots in XIV.

IDK, I feel the 'righteous' fury against people who didn't do the right thing and over-bought so that they can scalp, but I'm not sure SE has any legal recourse, or else companies that have been selling tickets for years would have been more able to crack down on scalpers themselves.
