So are the people that don't want to PL supposed to leave every party that turns into a PL party? I hate to say it but most parties turn into PL parties at some point. Now are we supposed to just deal with it and leave so you can have your PL that you don't need? PL does not have to be in the game but by being in the game it has become the choice way to level. This makes it so a party that is normal exp can easily turn into a PL party and often it does. Now I can leave those parties yes but then I get stuck looking for another. Not only that but those people will be less likely to invite me in the future. Point is PL is a luxury to some but hinders others. The nice thing about luxuries is you don't have to have them.

Need? That's the kind of justification I'm talking about. You don't need to play this game. You don't need to get xp parties. You can solo. You can do leves.

So you're doing an xp party, and then they decide to invite a lv 50 to PL you guys, making it easier and less work per person - and then you leave because you, personally are against it on principle. Sounds to me like you're limiting yourself. That's all there is to it.

The luxury argument is silly, because it is relative. People don't play this game the way they do because they need to. They play it because they want to. Who are you to tell people they can't PL, because you consider it luxurious?

There's much more to this game than leveling and xp parties now. You're clearly new to it. Pretty much your entire game experience is xp parties right now. Once you get your first 50 class, I assure you you'll feel differently than you do now.

My game entire game experience isn't exp parties. I've done plenty of things so far but I do like to exp party to level. I know there are other ways but its the one I like so I do it.

PL is like using a cheat code in a game. Would you support it if anyone could type /godmode and get unlimited HP? I don't think so and the reason is its too cheap. Using your argument you get to pick if you use god mode or not so it should be fine. Think about it how many people would feel "forced" to use god mode cause if they didn't they would be kicked out of a party/event. The fact is having PL as it is makes players feel forced to use it and that is not ok.

All they have to do to make a lot of people happy is use the same claim system FFXI used. That would transfer PL to healer and not make it so forced. People who wanted PL could still have it and use it. Every person that I talk to in game says PL is overpowered or that something needs to be done with it. (When I say everyone I mean my LS and just about every person I've partied with.) I have yet to run into someone who supported PL in game. That includes people who have used PL.

No. PL is not a cheat code.
