But you not getting the loot you want from plat sacks just amounts to complaining frivolously.

It's not frivolous, 12x4 sacks with one group, 8x4 with a different group, out of those 80 sacks more than half the loot was garbage rolls, garbage materia, garbage minions that are in silver sacks. No one is saying we should get dodos in every sack, but these sacks are much much worse than potd sacks. It leaves one with very little desire to do it again when the reward from hours of stress is sastasha orchestrion roll.

It also takes less than half the time too, my group just got another dodo and miniature tower along with the low end prizes. Even most of the minions are selling for 30-200k

I have to do HoH almost 2 times to get the same amount of hoards as potd, so the balance is there, nerfed loot is a second penalization that is not necessary.

Congrats you're getting lucky, but not everyone has your good luck.

Edit for a bit of insight: in PotD you have to climb 100 easy floors for 50 challenging floors with the "good" hoards, to match this in HoH you have to climb 100 easy floors (21-71 twice) for 60 challenging floors with less-than-good hoards. The only real benefit of HoH is that you're able to do 10 extra floors compared to PotD, that doesn't warrant getting materia V from sacks.
