Yep, anywhere that doesn't do a force unsummon of their pet.

Yeah my friend I was running it with experienced the bug and we re-entered. You're basically locked into your "Bahamut rotation" until you do whatever it is to fix the bug. This means a free Akh Morn every 10s or so, permanently. The mobs melted, so I can see why they've taken it down, people can't be trusted to not take this elsewhere in the game and completely ruin the integrity of certain content.

That explains more clearly. Shutting down duty finder would be fair/logical to prevent exploits. (Something something zurvan and pomanders rings a bell)
I'm glad someone caught the bug early and reported it. It's not easy testing how single thing can go across multitude duty instances.

Pomanders in Zurvan was a different issue entirely and required 3rd party programs to pull off, perma Demi Bahamut was easily reproducible to the point lots of people did it by accident.

I really think they should start considering a test server to help prevent these sort of things. :/ I was willing to wait for HoH even though I really wanted to farm sacks for minions and the hairstyle... but now I can’t even pass the time farming Extremes to try and get dogs. >.>

This is the curse of QA teams. You can spend weeks and weeks testing and fixing tons of bugs that customers never see. But it's the one bug that inevitably gets through that everyone notices.

while I totally agree , how good is SE QA teams are -with no disrespect to them- and how well funded they are -main point- . while I don't claim I'm a developer or know programing but most of the recent errors that come to my mind can be easily predicted with stress tests and all esp. with day one rush.

On a somewhat amusing note: It's been so many years, and Bahamut is STILL bringing down parts of the game.

and it's not even his final form! That being said these day 1 crashes are becoming so predictable that it's kinda sad.

I mean it sucks but its only half of a day of downtime not really the end of the world and even with a test server you cant guarantee everything will be caught.

I like the experience of playing things fresh and if that means there is an occasional bug that gets through its acceptable trade off IMO.

Lol yes because no other mmo has launch issues. Yoshi P and crew pulled this game out of the dirt. It wouldn’t be what it is if it wasn’t for them. Maybe you should invest in a new game if you hate them so much. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
