True... in a standing position. I immediately glamoured over those AF1 'culottes' with tights instead, and I saw them often enough despite them not being visible when standing. You get thrown in the air, or sit down and have those wonderful skirt physics that tilt the whole thing forwards... possibly when teleporting as well. I feel like it's a deliberate setup for "lol, you can see up the girl's skirt" and I just want some healer gear that isn't skimpy compared to the male version. Male AF2 pants are pretty and I want them, but I get a miniskirt instead.

I really like the look of skirts over pants or tights, but they're few and far between (and usually class-locked). Male characters get lots of them but females just get skirts (and visible underwear). It's frustrating.

On the idea of "modern militaristic attire" for scholars, I don't think it really works with the concept of the class (or the theme of the AF designs so far). The AF1 gear is "proper" Nymian war-scholar attire as Alka Zolka researched it - it's a rather practical-looking jacket and not a long robe, but it isn't "modern" either.

It seems like an idea better left for players to build for themselves, rather than have as a specific AF set with that style. Perhaps the Filibuster set? (ie. what the Ala Mhigan Resistance gear comes from, though I haven't seen the healer version.) Or the Gazelleskin Coat of Healing has a nice practical look to it, though still a 'robe' and not particularly modern.

Glamouring over the LV45 AF pants wasn't an option for me. WHM and SCH were my first jobs, and glamouring wasn't available to pre-50's yet. So 45-49 I had to wear the WHM right of passage set which was the AF and the Colosseum Shawl if I wanted to wear the best gear available, and I am not one to hold back my groups due to gear. Thing is, despite the skirt (if you can call it that) barely going past the buttocks making anything but standing impractical, I am still more bothered by the excessive amount of robes than I am G-strings and skirt physics. Of course, I do respect your desire for less skimpy outfits.

As far as skirts go, I don't mind the short ones because there is so much nice looking foot gear. It is also that reason that I dislike the amount of really long skirts that covers them up. I really wish we had more skirts that are knee-high so I can enjoy the foot gear while not having to wear such a revealing short skirt. The only one that I know of is the Demon Skirt of Healing.

I disagree. But the images that might be coming up in your head may differ from my own when you're thinking of a militaristic theme. The AF1 jacket is a near perfect example of what I am thinking about what I wish SE would expand on. It is just such a shame that the rest of the outfit contrasts it. Both AF2 and AF3 sets are nothing at all what I envision SCH like, especially with their strong military background in the lore.

I started a thread about this a little way back. Here is the link if you like to check out some of the images within.

The thread contains one of my SCH glamours that I absolutely LOVE!, and it really has the 'military' feel that I strive to achieve. I just wish we could still use glasses with gear, then it would be perfect! Lower down in the first page are RL examples of attire that isn't officially military, but rather just has the theme and they could easily be put into the game.

I really wish they would implement job unlock as a feature with the Glamour dresser. Like you could hand items in to make them level 1 glamour gear, even if you had to select that this is a permanent change. Especially now since the accessories are job locked too.

Ugh, Square, please. A functional wardrobe!

Would certainly love the Crafting specific gear to be glamourable for DoW/M jobs. Imagine the HW (level 60) WVR set on a Caster.

This is my take on the matter with the exception of the relic sets. It's kinda understandable for combat jobs, but for DoH/DoL gear, it just feels absolutely arbitrary.

Also there isn't a whole heap of reason to get the AF DOH stuff since crafted gear is always better. It would be nice to have a reason to farm for glams.

the only reason it exists for crafting/harvesting jobs is to funnel people into a different scrip set for each job. Glamour wise it's just laziness or impossible for them to take the restrictions off.

okay maybe if it goes into the glamor dresser and becomes wearable by all
but i dont want healers in leveling roulette wearing tank gear healing
Pretty much why they made Accessories role dependent

This is something that has been asked for years and SE just doesn't listen. At first they were all like, we want the jobs to maintain their identity and that it would be too hard to distinquish the classes if they didn't wear appropriate armor relating to the job itself. Apparently, they weren't paying attention to the tanks in bathing suits.

Then they started creating gear based off of the more popular sets and making them low-level glam gear for all roles.

An now in SB, alot of the 60-70 gear are recolors of gear from other classes. At this point, I don't think they'll ever remove the role restriction from gear but keep doing what they've been doing throughout SB. I'm kind of torn because it does give us some access to gear from other classes but it's also incredibly lazy in the fact that we haven't gotten much new armor.
