Garo is permenant, and is not Final Fantasy. If speculation is also to be believed, monster hunter may also be permanent.Personally I wouldn't mind this if it was limited to just games from the Final Fantasy series, especially given how long ago it's been since the Shantotto event was around. It'd make for another good way of honoring other elements of past games.
As for other series like Dragon Quest or Yo-Kai, I'd say no to just because it feels like it'd draw too much focus away from the Final Fantasy series, which is what I think the game should honor more.

Exactly, whereas fates clutter the overworld and in a way 'take over' the overworld for a period of time. That is not well suited to a permanent collaboration, and would have to be redesigned if put back into the game (at which point, why not just put the resources into a new event). Also, aren't the items on the mogstation? That seems like the easiest solution.

Ya sorry misread ur post, thought u said the opposite :PExactly, whereas fates clutter the overworld and in a way 'take over' the overworld for a period of time. Pretty the only reason why as to both is probably due to the sheer amount of resources required for both of those events. I'm personally not a fan because it puts more attention on games not made by Square-Enix (and also because that Garo gear is ugly as sin), but I can understand that with all the work involved to make them happen that they would want to make them permanent.
