Good intention regarding improving performance never gets good reception to the point that any attempt to give such tools is greeted with hate and speeches how SE deceived them. At this point the term "improving" has been villianized.

As said, merely speculation because it is not the first time hypercasuals made a lot of noise to anything that could urge them to up their performance a little (minor dps checks in casual content, god forbid).
Players just don't need to improve. The game is ridonculously easy and everything is handed to them on a silver platter..

The community itself is incredibly hypocritical as well. On the one hand complaing that players can't do mechanics while on the other frequently coming out with comments like mechanics are for cars.. It's no wonder players don't bother learning.

I also think this again is yet another issue with the treadmill. Every piece of gear in the game is bland worthless junk. And because it's worthless you really cannot expect players to have to do much to get it. Which is why its handed to you..

If you had gear that was strong and powerful and felt valuable I bet many players would step up there game to the extra challenge involved in getting it.

It's a basic human philosophy. What you get out of something has to worth what you put into it... players won't improve there game when they get nothing for it...
