There's huge server latency now; and there will be new servers for 2.0. merging before then would be more work than it's worth. I'd much rather have the dev teams spend their time on things that benefit us more in the long run.
There's huge server latency now; and there will be new servers for 2.0. merging before then would be more work than it's worth. I'd much rather have the dev teams spend their time on things that benefit us more in the long run.
Fewer servers to maintain saves time, fewer servers running saves a ton of money, higher player saturation makes it easier to create content. It might be a tad bit of work, but keep in mind the people who would do it is not the same creative teams working on content and it honestly wouldn't distract them all that much if any at all to go forward with it.
