Tim Curry wore it better.

Having some men wear masculine clothing that is more revealing would be a great idea. I think the bunny suits look terrible on all characters, but I never objected to them.
The idea that we must have male npcs in bunny suits is odd. I'm glad male pcs got their bunny suits that they wanted so badly for years, but why is this a needed change? Is it a change for the sake of change? I really don't understand why this is a big need.
There never has to be a reason for want.
Only you very much do, otherwise your post was pointless. This would be a change with basically zero impact on 99.9% of the playerbase yet here you still are, going "but why?". To which I reply, why not?I'm not sure why you are asking me to defend a position I do not have.

There has to be a reason, or people would not request it.
I'm not opposed to it at all. I'm asking why.
Because some of us find it pleasing. Because equality. Because eye-candy. Because to spite the people who get their feathers all ruffled by this being unlocked to guys in the first place. And because there's absolutely no reason not to do that even before they unlocked it for PCs, given that we have a plethora of examples in the game where NPCs wear things PCs can't given race and/or gender. Change isn't the only thing that requires a reason, a lack thereof does, too, and usually it's not a very good one.
Also, heaven forbids, "change", we want an NPC and a half in the corner of the GS wearing a bunny outfit, why do we need a reason for it?
I went to hang out with these guys in game and have a couple drinks. Despite looking horrible in their Salor-Moonish outfits they were pretty fun and chill.
I asked if they would like to see the bunny outfit on male Gold Saucer NPC's, the one in red said 'no, we have style'
I said you call these outfits style?
All three at once responded 'bitch, I'm fabulous'
I agreed, we laughed and had a few more drinks.

Pleasing and eye-candy are reasons. "Equality," upsetting people, and "why not" are not actual reasons. That's the information I was asking.Because some of us find it pleasing.
So you prefer men in more revealing clothing or bunny suits in particular? This is an open-ended question.
If someone else has a reason for implementing this, feel free to chime in. I think someone mentioned a npc wanting it? I don't recall this person, but I don't doubt he exists.
Edit: By "open-ended" I mean open to all to answer. Apologies. I just realized I typed that out incorrectly.![]()

Actually did reflect on it. Mostly because it doesnt work on guys. The fishnets for example work on women because female attractiveness tends to be centered around smooth, and narrow/ less defined musculature. The fishnets emphasize both of those really well. But male attractiveness is more about musculature that is wider and more dynamic, and the fishnets generally work against them. It softens and smooths what makes them attractive. The bustiers are designed to prop up a woman's chest and emphasize it, while ends up breaking up the male's pecs and hiding the abs. The ears really don't matter so much, neither do the cuffs. Heels...idk, I think the thing in game is that animators just ignore how they make you walk anyways, and they don't really factor in how many inches it adds to a man's height.
A comparable thing for women is if you remember the eighties, and the fixation on shoulder pads. Trying to thicken and bulk up the female form removes the attractiveness factor a bit. In game, with us its the garo armor, in which you can only tell the character is female by their stance. The Warrior armor with its thick thighs especially.
I mean, people do have to realize that equality doesn't mean we are all interchangeable. It's not a matter of just slapping on the same clothes, there is a lot of work by designers in how the clothes hang on a person and how they are tailored to a man or woman's shape that makes them attractive. I think we had a good example with the recent male "skinny jeans" fad, in which they tried to take jeans which were tailored more for women and broaden them to men, and very few men could pull them off without looking ridiculous. Especially since the trend was for a patriarch's beard as well!
