    Healer Wishlist for 5.0

    As the title says what is your wishlist for the healers upon our descent into the 5.0 expansion.


    My wishlist

    White Mage
    1.) Protect: Remove it from the other healers and give WHM the PVP protect for PVE.
    2.) Shell: Places a buff on the target that Absorbs one magical spell and converts the damage into X% HP.
    3.) Reraise: Revives the target after one KO, long recast. (debuffs the target preventing them from reapplying.)
    4.) Haste: Increases target attack speed, and lowers recast times.
    5.) Dia: Replaces AOE Aero (Holy DOT)

    Reraise would probably be the most embarrassing skill to throw on a DPS but it would be perfect for Tank Busters. You could plan the skill to force a tank swap when one tank dies to a ridiculous attack. The weakness would be annoying tho.

    I doubt if they added Reraise it would be targettable. Mostly Self only so a WHM could recover without another raise help.

    I wouldn't expect reraise because it would make mechanic skipping much too accessible.

    There have always been group sac + healer LB3 strategies in tougher fights to avoid doing complicated mechanics and I could see this making things way too cheeseable.

    But if everyone dies to a mechanic you will still be the only one alive, with little to no MP and weakness so the chances of a recovery is very low. This is for when both healers die to a healer mechanic or to save a co-healer MP. If AST can provide an attack buff why shouldn't the main healer of the game be able to raise themselves atleast once per fight.

    I dont think that will work the way you think it would. You can try to cause that kind of cheese now by holding off on accepting a raise, but it doesn't actually work. When the whole party dies and you try to raise the boss will reset and all players sent to the corral, even if the animation started.

    I assume reraise would be similar.

    The idea is to live and then healer LB3 so the only person at low health or MP would be the WHM who was reraised. I am generally a big proponent of WHM buffs but this isn't what we need.

    I assummed it would be more automatic than a raise cast by someone else honestly - more like a second life than getting raised by an NPC or something. I guess it depends on how it works. If it was like a normal raise it would feel kinda lackluster though - you're just saving someone else mp.

    My Wishlist for Healers in 5.0

    1) More diversity.
    2) A healer who doesn't use MP, doesn't wear robes, doesn't cast white magic
    3) A healer who doesn't have the same arbitarily boring DPS rotation as the previous 3. EI: 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, ......2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1,
    4) More role skills that are not simply ripped skills from prexisting healers.

    I wish Major and Minor arcana were separate timers. To have our ONE major trait on the same timer but broken down into multiple parts (i.e. store, burn, spend, lord/lady) is a bit slow. The main cards for buffs should be that mini game, use? store? gamble?

    While the face cards should be a spend immediately, instant DPS or Instant heal/hot/Refresh/TP over time etc. Even a future heal card like you're reading the fortune and I see in about 10sec you're gonna get a burst heal much like the star, which could help up the AST dps since we know we can let the tank get knocked around a bit more since they'll get a burst heal that is applied ON them and they won't run out of star area like they oft do, ugh.

    Can even do a timed dps bomb, or aoe dps face card. So many options considering we have an entire DECK unreleased to us as of yet and I'm sure more will come as our level goes up. I just hope they separate it so we don't have 900 things to do on ONE timer.
