Its a metric best ignored because its ultimately meaningless. It is how many accounts have been made for the game, the amount of active subscribers is closer to 250,000, peaking at around 750,000 at most on expansion drops (i.e when the game breaks from it).

I find that very shady. I mean a collab is also there to have people start playing the game, so they do hope that Monster hunter players want to start playing it but they are making it so that they need to go through ARR+HW+SB and be 70 to even take part in this..which means people need to buy the original game and two expansion...at least with Garo it was only having a lvl 60 job without the need to finish ARR and HW. So people could just powerlevel through PVP when they reached 30.
